I've loved this movie and the Broadway show it came from since childhood and this video really captures the main story line and the most popular songs from the show beautifully. Interesting stereo effect here, some of the voices appear further "back" than others, even through headphones. I've heard that they could create that illusion with varying blends of delayed audio, but I've never noticed it before. By 1956, a movie of this quality would have been made with surround tracks, so I'd guess someone translated them into the enhanced 2ch effect. The video also looks terrific. Thanks for posting!
