Very nice playing and tone. To me it reminds me of Junior Kimborough and Black Keys. Trying to decide whether to get one of these vintage valco guitars or go for a 1950's supro dual tone...
@pj1231 - thanks! I've had a couple of 50s Valcos and a bunch of 60s Valcos (Supro was one of Valco's main brand names, not a separate company), from the mid 50s onwards, Valco necks have narrower string spacing and are clubbier. The 60s necks feel much more comfortable to me, but they have a "zero fret" which is a deal breaker for some folks (not me). There are only subtle differences in sound, but major differences in feel. Hope that helps!
I've got a dual pickup airline town and country. love it! tons of tones with the controls. the bridge rolls off lows, and the neck rolls off highs. very different. btw- your's sounds great, man! now, I've got to build myself a Bosstone to try with mine!
@whitestripebuzz - they turn up on ebay, not very often but regularly enough.
Personally, on a Valco guitar, I can live with just a single bridge pickup much more easily than a single neck pickup...and I always found the neck pickup more usable on the fiberglass bodied Valcos, less out-of-control wooly than the wood bodied guitars.

I have one of these. I am looking for another one of these pickups to go at the neck.
