i think you dont need double sided cables... just plug ur xbox or whatever cables into your dvd recorder and plug your dvdr into your tv then record

Scart is some sort of an adapter where you plug in the A/V cables, and then plug the adapter into the TVs' scart input. I don't know if they're in the US, but I certainly believe so O_o

This is gonna sound noobish, and I'm pretty certain I already know the answer, but hey.

my DVD recorder is pretty old, and has scart connections for the line-in port. If I plug the AVI cables of my 360 into the supplied scart plug, and then plug that in to the line-in port, will this allow me to record off the 360? Also, the line-out port is scart connection too, but thats not a problem with connecting to my TV. Or is this a "no go" idea? Cheers.
