  • Strong mesomorph here... With a high metabolism you can eat practically anything and not get fat, but it really depends on your activity level, really the amount of cardio you do increases or decreases the metabolism, but eating shitty foods you won't make gains (in fat loss) as fast as if you were not eating shitty food.

It's true you can live off of Mc Donalds and still become an athlete but if you truly want to be healthy, fit, and strong spiritually, mentally, and physically in your 40's, 50's, 60's and etc you have to eat clean! Keep em' coming :) !

  • I know when I eat junk food I really feel depressed after like an hour of eating it. This is of course only during the Holiday season. I have loss 32 pounds but I know that I have gained at least 10 pounds of that back. Sense I have not worked out on the Total Gym lately which I need to get on it.

I'm 13 and workout 5 days a week I no I still have slot of growing to do but I have seen results in my shoulders, back and legs but my arms are the exact same bw I'm 73 kilos and amnt fat but have a bit of belly fat, I eat well nd 3 hours a day I workout at home i've kinda tried everything from deadliest, squats, bent over rows etc. But I'm not getting AMAZING results.... Is this my age or am I doin sum thing wrong. Would really appreciate an answer:) sorry 4 the long question :)

  • @dbzfighterz Yes in a sense, use it as a cheat meal on your usual strict regime but make sure you maximise it by eating clean again the next day and working out on the day of the cheat meal!

  • Lets be honest here.....powerlifters eat shit, and they are strong as shit. I think it just really depends on the person and what they are trying to achieve.

  • @divineaspex that's fine... like I said, you can lose weight and you can even get stronger while eating crap. but when the colon is all backed up with processed food and sugar, and you get leaky gut syndrome where poop has entered the blood stream and settled in the joints where the immune system attacks it and damages the tissue at the same time so you get arthritis and have to take MORE drugs just to walk... you'll wish you ate better food.

  • Alot of powerlifters (pretty much all of them) don't give a shit about their diet. They eat KFC for breakfast, Burger King for Lunch and McDonalds for dinner.. I don't understand how these types of food help them. I doubt they could maintain their strength by eating clean. they are fat but STRONG.

    But does the 20-30% bodyfat help their central nervous system become stronger? There's ZERO, ZERO proof for that. In my opinion, many powerlifters abuse the fact that they're powerlifters as an excuse to eat GARBAGE, tons of fats and sugars. Sure they're big and strong and need way more calories than us, but not THAT much. Look at Mariusz Pudzianovski, he's (relatively) ripped and has won like 4 Strongman competitions. Yes, not 100% strength, but definately for a large part.

  • Liver replaces in between 300-400 days, bones are close to 7 years to completely regenerate; can't remember lungs and heart from college BIO, but Elliot's right the liver is the big one for overall health/regeneration.

The problem with "new cellular body" is genetic mutations become part of what your permanent genetic make up so yes you have a new cells,but they are mutated compared to previous cells. To reiterate what Elliot Stated about eating shit and being shit along with genetic mutations. Current data is showing that the effects of "round up ready crops" don't instantly harm you personally but are show signs of birth defects 2-3 generations later.

  • @aztek warrior23 it is not so simple. there was a starvation diet study in the early 20th century where test subjects were given 3 diff diets, all of 1000 calories per day (way below maintenance). 1 group was all fat, one all carbs, one all protein. botht he protein and fat group lost weight, the carb group gained weight despite being under maintenance. What you said about macro ratios is very true, but keep in mind not all macros are created equal in terms of weight loss

  • losing weight is all about calories in and calories out. It doesn't matter what you eat, if you eat under maintenance you will lose weight.....just stay within the appropriate macro and micro nutrients and your set for the most part.
