The Carpenters did covers all the time douche bags hahaha I suppose they are worthless in your eyes in comparison to the originals or do the Carpenters have some magic cloak that reflex your criticism because your biased and simple minded whoooo dhchgdvu
Its not bad.. and all you guys that are hating.. he is tributing a song.. its a cover yo.. i kno you guys may not agree.. but gotta give him credit for actually learning how to play the singing parts on piano you know? like come on guys i give this guy props man.. its an awesome song.. and hes playing it cause he likes this song. dont discourage him.. arent we all The Carpenters fans??? Geez Grow up.
What the hell is that got to do with the carpenters if they heard this fool play there great song they would give up writing songs. Delete video please.

didnt realy like it i dont like it coz theres no singin n ur playin the singin part n anyone of you losers that say ooo u cnt spell i cnt read it well fkn go back to skool n if ur in skool then u shud understand wa im sayin unless ur some hungarian fucker
It's a bit robotic. I like to usually choose a female singer who can sing it, and I play the piano along with it. I accompany because I can't play the melody and harmony at the same time. But that way, I get to have the full feeling of both me and the singer.
But yeah, this arrangement is way different. No depth, really. But... it's good to know that the Carpenters are remembered internationally.
I admire your technical mastery of this material but whoever gave you this arrangement didn't do you any favors. It is so dry and mechanical it might be background music for a paper towel advertisement, not a brilliant expression of the sad longing of unrequited love. Where is the love-struck yearning, the joy, the despair? Please listen to The Carpenters' version and, while you're at it, any Burt Bacharach sung by Dusty Springfield - you'll get the idea.
The Carpenters actually only did a cover of this song. It's the most well known but they did not write it.

totally agree. you don't feel the emotions brought by Carpenters when listening to this one.
Music comes from the heart. Pls don't let the feelings go away just to perform well.

that arrangement is missing all of the chord changes that gives the song it's depth. It drags
hyperdraw 4 years ago
Yea, it's missing the right chords and harmonies that make the song what it is.
