  • The Carpenters actually only did a cover of this song. It's the most well known but they did not write it.

  • you suck!!!!!

  • The Carpenters did covers all the time douche bags hahaha I suppose they are worthless in your eyes in comparison to the originals or do the Carpenters have some magic cloak that reflex your criticism because your biased and simple minded whoooo dhchgdvu

  • Its not bad.. and all you guys that are hating.. he is tributing a song.. its a cover yo.. i kno you guys may not agree.. but gotta give him credit for actually learning how to play the singing parts on piano you know? like come on guys i give this guy props man.. its an awesome song.. and hes playing it cause he likes this song. dont discourage him.. arent we all The Carpenters fans??? Geez Grow up.

    *their.

  • How dare you imply this 3rd-rate video has ANYTHING to do with the Carpenters.

  • this is a disgrace to Karen........

  • check out lisa budin opera house on you tube enjoy...im a carpenters fan xx

  • suena demasiado tecnico falta feeling natural

  • Hol van a mosdó?

  • maybe more feelings + slight pedal will make it more beautiful

  • Sugoii naaaaaaaa *_______*

    hounto ni subarashii na

  • u_U the heart of the song, i cant feel it u_U T_T

  • great rendition, disregard all the negative comments

  • Opsprowler: I agree with you...being efficiently good, is not bad: it takes a lot of preparation

  • hes like a robot

  • umm !~~ good job for the skill but i don't feel the heart ~~~

  • Just Japanese efficiency

  • i had seen others clip better than this

  • vry good

  • Great !!

  • :P :P :P

  • It's a bit robotic. I like to usually choose a female singer who can sing it, and I play the piano along with it. I accompany because I can't play the melody and harmony at the same time. But that way, I get to have the full feeling of both me and the singer.

But yeah, this arrangement is way different. No depth, really. But... it's good to know that the Carpenters are remembered internationally.

  • i love the lighthearted take on this song. makes me feel like taking a stroll by a river.

  • WOW! I AM IMPRESSED! GREAT JOB!

  • Good job!! You are good.

  • I admire your technical mastery of this material but whoever gave you this arrangement didn't do you any favors. It is so dry and mechanical it might be background music for a paper towel advertisement, not a brilliant expression of the sad longing of unrequited love. Where is the love-struck yearning, the joy, the despair? Please listen to The Carpenters' version and, while you're at it, any Burt Bacharach sung by Dusty Springfield - you'll get the idea.

  • totally agree. you don't feel the emotions brought by Carpenters when listening to this one.

Music comes from the heart. Pls don't let the feelings go away just to perform well.

  • well said

  • This is a very good song and It was a very good piano player. I wish I could play like that.

  • stop complaining at lest someone actually bothered to transcribe it on their own and performed it

  • he needs to put in more spirit in his playing in order to bring out the true melody of the song

  • he doesnt play with passion, he plays by wut ever the music tells him to play.

  • wow...

  • they can kill them selves

  • that arrangement is missing all of the chord changes that gives the song it's depth. It drags

  • Yea, it's missing the right chords and harmonies that make the song what it is.

  • plays it different from how i play it... :s

  • how do u do this? can u do this with a close up?? i wanna learn this!! really really bad!

  • yeah too much feedback-ish noise. but very nice.

  • very nice...

  • too much noises
