I'm actually surprised by how good this is so far. I've always been enamored with William Kapell and Philippe Entremont (especially in the section starting at 4:35), but this is very good so far! Can't wait to hear the other parts.
it's interesting that in comparison with another female pianist of similar appeal, intensity and charisma, namely, katia skanavi, the details of their respective renditions appear to be very close. however, in terms of the overall effect, there's no denying that yuja wang's is transcendent.
