what happend was he put the card then he folded it then put the egg the made weight on the bomtom card and when he the center the egg fell

he doesn't hit the bottom card, if you watch carefully, the bottom card actually falls into the glass. he hits the tube with enough velocity to knock it away without pulling the egg with it, and gravity simply makes the egg fall and as a card isn't very strong, the egg bends the card and enters the water. it's a bit like pulling a table cloth fast enough not to pull the dishes off as well.

my dad showed me a PDF file that is R jay's "cards as weapons" book in full, its crazy, but most of it is just for jokes, there is one chapter in it where he explains how to throw the card, but other than that its just for shock effect

@PrestyGomez He doesn't hit the egg, hit hits the tube. The tube flies away the egg drops it's heavy enough to knock the flat card out of the way. The feat is not that impossible considering Ricky Jay holds (or used to hold) records for throwing cards faster and farther than anyone else. So, it's not simple for anyone else, but it's child's play for Ricky.

with some practice you're able to send creditcards into walls and dartboards, and with some practice they'll stick.
