@frankss4 You're completely disregarding the context. How useful are the enormous EVAs in a small hallway designed for humans? The EVAs are a good offensive and defensive measure OUTSIDE of NERV HQ, but the JSSDF infantry was IN the HQ, where NERV only had a few dozen security guards. The JSSDF's superior abilities allowed them to easily bypass NERV defense forces.

@ktzeroii well if you remeber in the episode where they face zeruel he went into the base and eva unkt one was just terring through everything to get at him in Nerv. soooooo just saying tht if they wanted to the eva units could have been some use.

@ktzeroii himmmm i thought bout it. ok in one hand you have the jssdf come in and kill everyone. on the other you have massive damage to the base with massive jssdf casualties and minimum NERV collateral personel killed. Neither would have been preferable but the EVA could have been useful.

In order to reach any of these places an EVA would have to smash through countless support structures and would cause MASSIVE collateral damage killing JSSDF and NERV personnel indiscriminately. So yeah, your plan works..... if you want to completely destroy the HQ building. Also, your comparison is just plain silly.

@masterofrockets The only problem with your reason is that it DOESN'T work. Stationing an EVA within HQ would more than likely lead to more deaths... confining an EVA to a small space where the pilot fears for other allies isn't going to make the EVA much of a threat, especially considering how easy it would be to bypass the large open sections where the EVA would have to be. Where are the benefits to this strategy?
