You give really clear directions-- thank you!!! Now I just need to grow enough hair to pull the look off. Might try something like this with box braid extensions!
I always love your videos, because of your warm personality and I like the hairstyles too. Unfortunately I such along way to go before I can do any of them, I only have about 2 inches of hair. Keep up the good work though.
Your videos are always beautifully executed. Thanks! Who films for you? Your camera angles are perfect. You are the ONE to go to for natural hair....hands down! I learn more from your quick, short videos than any others. You obviously put in the hours. It shows. Thanks once again.
I so appreciate all of your tutorials on natural hair. I am learning a great deal from you, so I had to subscribe. You are such a positive influence- because your tips are generally wholesome. I have been using your shea butter recipe and I just find it to be amazing that you are so willing to share that recipe and all that you know regarding natural hair care. You're doing a great job!
Naptural85, do you still have the same significant other from when you first cut your hair, and if so what does he think about your success as natural hair motivator?
Love this style. I've been wearing it for years but the waterfall portion I usually did because I was too lazy to put all my hair in LOL. I used to do this style on relaxed hair mostly but of course it looks better on natural hair because of the added definition.
Gosh, every time I watch ur videos, Im like, "Her hair is sooooo GORGEOUS!!!!!" And I think I've gotten used to it, but the next time, I'm saying the same thing lol
Sorry, I have to ask again: Are you using bobby pins (with closed prongs) or hair pins (with open prongs)? I'm guessing it's the latter because you didn't have a finger in between the prongs holding it open (which you would have to do in order to slide it in like that). Also, that 90-degree twist is exactly why hair pins work much better than bobby pins for "full" updos like the French twist. Just trying to get clear because it took me a while to learn the difference...
Nice video as usual. Girl you truly are a natural. Your videos are fun, inspiring, positive and professionally done. Thank you sooooooooo much for all your sharing :)!!
I remember doing this exact same style, complete with the bobby pins, when I had relaxed hair. Never thought about doing it with natural hair but now I can envision doing it once my hair gets longer. Thanks!
@rikka1287 I'm loving it! I can't help but keep touching my curls. I think I do more things in my regime now that I have about 1/4 inch of hair. You should go for it, you'll be in love if you know its the right thing for you. My decision was mostly an impulse thing.
@elvinmay54 I know i should and you are not the first person to tell me to go for it. I think i have to trick myself into doing it....but i know one thing transitioning is not an easy task and just based on being frustrated i can see me one day just chopping it all off....but i have no clue what i am waiting on.
@Alyssaj1236 I love it and my bf does too. I never relaxed my hair because i didn't like my hair i just wanted a change but now i want my afro back. I actually like have the short hair. Unlike some people who are scared to cut it I think hair is hair and if my white friends can cut their hair, here, there and everywhere then why can't I. Its gonna grow back anyways.
I love all your videos! You never have all that annoying music playing like those other girls on here...I love how u explain throughout the video! My natural hair finally reached shoulder length...thanks to you!!!!!
I have done this style before. I have a round face to I started twisting higher up so that the water fall portion would be high on my head. It looks so nice with your natural texture "flowing" toward the crown of your head. *pun intended.
Your length is all I ask for :) I can get there by next year I hope. I braided my hair cause work is crazy and I felt like I needed the extra protection, but when i take it down in a few more weeks, I will try these styles more. Like you, I like low maintenance styles. but I have a hard time sticking to 100% protective ones.
@Naptural85 Thank you so much for making such useful and revelant videos! I'm really tired of seeing my other subscriptions putting out these useless videos about hair events, their kids, what they're selling, yada yada yada. But your videos are informative! You never disappoint.Thank you :)
Bonjour! Love the tutorial. You are so creative when it comes to your hair. Just went to Amazon.com and purchased the album. LOVE IT too! And I am still making that yummie Apple French Toast, it remains my favorite. : - )
@Naptural85 Come on Nap.. I love your styles but if you don't do the video showing some of us with super thick long hair how to put bobby pins in properly we can't do any of the updos! :( I'm dying to try your looks but I cannot get my hair to stay in the pins and I've tried and tried. Please do the video on putting bobby pins in properly! I would appreciate it so much. Bobby pins would only stay in my straight hair and I don't straighten at all now.
@Naptural85 Oh my! I am so sorry. I was watching your video with the sound down while listening to an audio book. I saw the title of your vid and just assumed you were just showing us that style. I thought if you were going to show us the bobby pin tips it would be in a separate video. Gurl, I'm so sorry. I watched the video again with the sound UP this time. And yes..your tips did help. I will try the tips this week and let you know how it worked out for me. Thank you so much..and again..sorry!
