Were there any Chamorro dances performed at this event? Sad to see that the younger generations are growing up thinking that Chamorro dance is Hawaiian or Tahitian. These dances, although quite beautiful in their own way, do NOT showcase any of our CHAMORRO history and culture. And it misleads the spectators into thinking that CHAMORRO culture is the same as POLYNESIAN. And it is NOT.
I dance for Manutahi Orlando, this was the Ahuroa made up a few years back.
