Why can't people just make oil out of carbon and hydrogen, we can already produce sythetic petrol, why would the hevier substances be any harder. Oil doesnt have to run out all we need to do is create it artafitualy. That way there would be no extra greanhouse gasses and we would never run out of plastic or other synthetic materials. Hase anyone ever thought of mining the sea bed, who know what finacial tresure lie beneath the waves, there could be rare earth tigh on your door step.

@meatisdeliciouse because it cost more trying to make than pulling it from the ground..dont matter though...at the rate the USD is imploding and peak oil has come..electric and hybrid will replace our oil needs...so $150/barrel + wont matter.
Now, the question is who will be first? the chinese or americans....my money is on the chinese...
@meatisdeliciouse People should just figure out how to do things the right way before doing anything at all. I think its cool that we are using up all our natural resources from minerals,metals to oil.
They say that all chemical element reside inside the earth magma in some quantities, if there were some way of getting them then the USA would not need to go to china. We can actually manufacture elements using nuclear furnases, but I feer that would be to expensive. Prehaps quantom physics will provide enough energy one day.
Sell the resources to the US government ...build a stockpile for yoursleves..... What the problem?
