A modest and thoughtful analysis of Al Jazeera's role in the media landscape. It must be said that in the two and a half years since this was posted there have been some changes, perhaps to make the channel more accessible to the mainstream. I cannot see this course being of benefit to Jazeera or to its audience. I agree with Teymoor about the essential service Al Jazeera provides globally and I do hope they don't lose sight of that while going after the US market.
