For those that have never played this game it can be hard to understand why it is so cool.

First, the music is hypnotizing, and as you target objects and destroy them you actually contribute to the music. Part of the fun is to try and select targets at the right times to sync to the background music track.

Second i think it's just as important to have a rumble controller, because the controller vibrates to the beat.

On some levels by the time I was done, i felt like I had just been at a rave.

Dreamcast pretty much failed because they made a system that could play any game (for any system) that was basically before 2000 or 20002, aslong as it was in dreamcast format, No games where sold because downloading them offline was so much easier.

@twofro11 Yes, we all downloaded them on our 56k connections. All 200gb each of them. DC burning didnt become commonplace until a few years ago, and even then, most people don't know you can straight up burn DC games.

It was competition with the PS2 and a badly timed release/marketing campaign that killed the Dreamcast.

If anything it was more the fact that Sega screwed over the entire Saturn community as to why the Dreamcast never truly took off. Especially in Japan where believe it or not, the Sega Saturn was actually a massive success.

People are bigging up the RRoD too much since it's the only way to attack the consoles reputation. If you buy it new, you get a warranty for a problem that will most likely not even happen. I had mine I bought maybe two years after launch and it didn't get a red ring error until several years later, and they replaced it for free. And they were never "defective," they just had a small design flaw which was quickly fixed.

Fanboys need to stop arguing over which toy is better. Enjoy your stuff.

You probably left them on carpet, or were doing something horribly wrong. I treat my stuff with care, and I've only had one the entire time. If you left it on for more than 24 hours or something (like for getting that achievment on Dead rising), then that may be the problem. You might just be leaving it in a hot place or on top of something that retains heat.

Rez is for those who comprehend that a game can thrill...actually, as I started typing that, I realised it was untrue. I was going to say that a game can be thrilling on more levels than challenge alone, but then realised that Rez has that in buckets (the attempt for 100% on all levels).

I'm actually drawing blanks. The only reason why you wouldn't like this game is because it's repetitive, but then again, what game isn't the same process being applied many times in different settings?
