Such a beautiful healthy bird. Pretty much all Sulphur-crested Cockatoos (Cockies) love to dance and sing (screech) to music, even "wild ones" (mostly renegade escapees), they're totally insane ... lots of fun though. There is a lovely book about a rescue Cocky and her wild mate, Love on the Wing: The Tale of Two Cockies by Julius Bergh & Col Stringer. Gorgeous birds, I miss their crazy antics since our nut tree died.

It's hard to pick out the beat on Christmas carols sometimes. They're more 'sway to the melody' songs. Snowball seems to really pick up on this with her own impromptu interpretational dance at 1:15. LOL at 3:20 also.

What is the life span of a cockatoo. I know that parrots can live for over 100 years. Snowball just cracks me up I watch him time after time after time. My better half can see him on my computer and tells me not to laugh because he is a human being ha ha. Andrew hates rock type music but forces me to put the sound up so he can watch Snowball from his armchair. Then he laughs. Snowball the best entertainer of all time.

The larger cockatoos can live 80+ years. Snowball's species can live 60+ years. Snowball absolutely loves music. It's amazing the muscle he has put on just from dancing! When we took him to the vet she praised us for increasing his weight since he had been a bit underweight. Although he is fed well, I honestly think it's mostly due to muscle mass. When he dances, he looks very athletic.
