  • Oh my lord. That is one of the best arrangements ive heard in a while. (theres some stuff that reminds me of really old smooth jazz i grew up with, like the rippingtons and the Breckerbrothers which is just pure amazing.)

  • I have to say, though the music has stayed consistently awesome, your visuals have... weakened as you've made more videos. With your others, the visuals were seamlessly incorporated into the song itself, for this one you turned the volume on the visuals way down and, frankly, separated them from the music (with some exceptions, such as the Nus and the scene in the boss battle segment). Without that, there's really very little to separate you from the average remixer.

i just typed all those words

  • I need the MIDI file for this.

  • I am very, very impressed

  • is this real life?

    this is art, no less.

  • lol it said chrono trigger in the notes

  • The Secret of the forest!

    Ooh, that part is amazing.

  • Words don't give this justice. When that battle theme kicked in at 1:50, My jaw was on the floor. This is the most beautiful, amazing, and awe-inspiring piece of music. Thank you, for blessing my life with 3 minutes and 35 seconds of epic.

  • @uscdrew1 Anyone who thinks this over any pieces from Mozart is completely ignorant and is most likely a fat gamer.

  • @smokingbandit67 Cool story bro. Tell it again.

  • @smokingbandit67 you accidentally a word

  • @smokingbandit67 The emotional bonding to a song often overpasses technical admiration and respect for a well-known masterpiece.

Much like we would save a blanket over a painting of Fragonard. But it's because it's our one and only blanket... don't hate on people's innocent dreams. Mozart had a dream himself.

  • That was absolutley Beautiful. Thank you!

  • These animations are awesome.

  • beutiful and genious

  • Which song is at 1:02? I haven't heard that in the game, yet it's probably my favorite on in this medley. Thanks anyways!

  • i think it's ocean palace re arranged in some way

  • Black Omen? Those are enemies from there... *Thinks* I'm too tired to think of it specifically XD

  • Thanks!

  • ノシ

  • For everybody asking what software:

It's the Music Animation Machine, created by smalin on Youtube. He made it to animate midi files and put the software up for download for free. Look him up here.

  • i tried and donwloaded it,but surely this video (i mean the midi) is edited,am i right?

and do you know if i can get his midi for his videos ?

  • Definitely. The program is the same, but he's using some MIDI file that smalin never used...I don't think there's any place to download it, unfortunately, as it looks to be the author's own work.

  • epic

  • what program is used? how much is is? and were do you get it?

  • @uberman460 the description tells all

  • Good all arowned!

    love the intro kick ass!

  • Nice. The dragon tank scene was pretty impressive.

  • ok. there's gotta be a download for this!

  • ...

I use to believe I was good

    It's an Incredible Medley!!

  • your best so far

  • A-mazing!

  • I love thiss....

I espcially love the ending. [:

  • 1st and 5th song name?

  • @ELMUPPODAGREAT,

    1. A Premonition

    5. Sad Song

  • The fifth song is actually "Chrono and Marle ~Far Off Promise~," commonly known as Marle's Theme.

  • Awesome ending. Keep it up, hattariyaro.

  • 1. I never used one before

    2. As i know my luck, it would definetely be illegal in my country and i would get discovered by authority while trying it xD

  • Don't know if i've commented here before, but even if I have, it's worth commenting again. Totally wonderful!

  • I don't care what anyone else says. This is beauty.

  • this is so good i literally dookied and ate the dookie

  • AWESOME! the memories are flooding back to me...

  • Sounds epic and makes me wish i knew the game... so much out there i don't even know xD

    5/5

  • You've never played ChronoTrigger? You're missing out big time!

  • I think so, too^^

But according to Wikipedia, it was never released in Europe ._.

i love Square Enix games, but i hate that they didn't release some of their greatest works here xD

  • then download it, just get yourself an emulator

  • Argh! Totally insane. REALLY AWESOME! Instant 5 & Favorite :)

  • cool was the music made originally to make this animation?(for people to figure out)?

  • No, it's in the game ChronoTrigger

  • Brilliant.

The only part that actually sounds a little off is the bridge one here.

But the Nu's in the main theme match perfectly, and the forest part is amazing. The original music itself draws the trees.

  • OMG !!!! I LOVE YOU !!!

  • Brilliant! I loved it!

  • Absolutely awesome. Best video of that kind ive ever seen. Congratulations for this wonderful piece of Art.

  • What i don't understand is why I can hear the intro to this anywhere else... I have looked for the chrono trigger intro and nothing on youtube sounds like this... surely it isn't such a variation that its not even anything to do with chrono!

  • can't** (first sentence)

  • Actually, if I remember correctly, there really isn't anything in Chrono Trigger that sounds like the intro. It's very slightly based off of the music that plays when you don't push anything at the "Press Start" screen in the beginning, but besides that, it's original.

  • Pure.

    100%.

    Quality.

  • awesome

  • Ah, I haven't played this game in years~ I really want to steal it back from my brother now!

  • emulator

  • what the...is this for real??? this is amazing! you're telling me that not only do these pixels represent specific images of the game, but that they are musical notes from the score of that particular scene as well?? wow, this is just awesome.

  • I don't think so. I think the images, like the Chrono Trigger at the beginning, the 'image' of Zeal, and even Chrono on the bridge fighting that Dragon Engine near the beginning of the game were added over top of the actual music. The added music was made so that it wouldn't sound out of place... but I'm pretty sure it isn't part of the original score.

  • even if some parts are only variations of the original score, it's still pretty amazing.

  • Oh definitely, you're right that it's amazing. I just didn't want anyone to be confused and think that this was part of the intent of the original composer of the piece.

  • When it got to the boss battle song it literally sent chills up my spine

  • That was awesome. Great work on the timing. That was terrific.

  • I hope to hell that whoever this is has gotten a orchestrator position by now, because this is just amazing.

  • wow.. you are good :)

  • holy shit this is awesome

  • The Dragon tank!

  • You made pictures out of music.

You probably achieved more in life than most will :(

  • @zornor its pretty cool how hes done it but he played notes on different scales to achieve this. you shouldnt downgrade yourself that easily =)

  • This sounds like a medeley of a few pieces. can anyone tell me in order what the songs are called?

  • I don't have the official names in front of me, but it starts with intro, then goes into guardia forest, then black omen, then enhasa, then boss music (I notice a magus theme intermixed into it, I bet a lot of the themes have weird itnermixings as well)

Then a Marle-ish theme that shows up at the ending as well

  • I love the way it all fits together.

    FAVORITE!

  • This is purely amazing.. All the work put into all the music must have taken forever, and it all came out so great! This Jinja person is epic and needs to make more. Lol. It's a shame that s/he's done though. :/

  • djn7y21nqws53o80hH[OijoI%&)!@(ja

    ^seizure due to epicness^

  • BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT

  • Am I to believe that this is hattari sen's final work? That would be a terrible shame. I discovered these arrangements today and listened through each of them. I hope to hear much more. I have not been moved such as this from any work dealing with video game music in my life. And this includes the live orchestra stuff.

  • Wow, the sweet sounds of nostalgia. Secret of mana would have been nice, maybe you could do just one more? :P

  • The user doesn't make these, he just gets them from Nico Video. And the author is not making any more of these MIDI things.

  • You're Welcome! That is pure genius in writing a custom MIDI file specially for this program, just to make words and/or images!

  • simply amazing

  • thats love

  • i.....can......believable......

  • I CAN BELIEVABLE

  • I swear, this is a masterpeice

  • this is incredible!

  • wordless ...

  • the insect face and little characters, where they created on purpose like that? by nobuo uematsu?

  • I came.

  • Oh, good, I was hoping I wasn't the only one.

  • why is this have to be your last one

  • Yeah what rubiximus said... I never liked fighting those goddamn Boss Orbs though... Oh well. Excellent stuff!

  • This author wont make any more of his videogame musical art, he is done with it. It is sorta sad thinking about it, as I will never see something this amazing again.

  • This is simply amazing.... i could never make such a birlliant piece

  • Wow... just wow. Simply amazing!

  • holy crap this is amazing O_O.

  • Wow. I was expecting a small little thing like the other MIDI Animation stuff, but this thing is fucking awesome and epic. Please, keep it up.

  • I don't log in alot, but this is fucking awesome.

I really want the original midi instead of ripping an MP3.

  • This is RIDICULOUS. How do you create pictures using a midi reader without sacrificing.. well, the NOTES?

  • That takes talent, he obviously knows a lot about how music works, I thought the same thing as you, then I got to actually looking deep into it, as I am a musician myself, and I see, how me managed it

  • Thanks, whoever gave me a thumbs down.. What di d I do?

  • I know, bart. ;)

  • Amazing, isn't it? :O

Also: one of the tags: (´;ω;`)ノシ

    That's just funny.

  • lol

  • jinja is amazing, he has a very strong understanding of music theory, in terms of spreading chords with respect to their inversions- which allows him to draw the vertical "lines" on the pictures, arpeggiating the chords to make slopes, curves, and well, art. and since all of the individual notes agree according to the chords, the music is not sacrificed.

    very impressive =)

  • THIS is the point I was trying to make

  • wow, that was brilliant!

  • I LOVE THIS!

  • this stuff is Awesome!!!

  • Please don't stop now! These are absolutely amazing!

  • ^ agreed

  • So beautiful... should have sent a poet.

  • Wow Tyrano Lair at 2:23 Is amazing

    I love this

The thought that people love this game as much as me makes me wanna cry

    and im far from emotional

  • The forest part is the best.

  • Absolutely brilliant!

Any chance of a link to the midi download?
