  • HOLY SHIT! THE BASTARDS DIDNT GIVE ME MY STICKER!

  • ok ....

  • there should be a meme for this guys thing with guitar pedal boxes

  • The bubble wrap is more interesting and holds my attention longer than this hoser's review of the pedal.

  • Hows that stamp thing work again? He really doesn't go into enough detail...

  • 2:10 Skip the important stuff.

  • i want to buy THE BOX only !!

    is it possible ?

  • this guy play like a 12y old when start to play guitar, learning some nirvana songs, few bluesy pentatonic licks, etc

  • @jpeque1 you talk like a five year old

  • @maritzayyy that's because i am five years old

  • @jpeque1 lol wut

  • aaaaaa stratelecaster

  • My Metal Muff with top boost didn't include a logo sticker. I'm sure the theifs that work at guitar center conveinently took all the stickers out of all the boxes.

Mine wasn't sealed when I bought it new from GC.

  • shut the fuck up and quit complaining, if you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen

  • 2:12 the real demo starts here! ;)

  • DAMN!! It haves 1/4 inch input and output! AND IT COMES WITH SOME PAPERS!!!

  • Dude, show that sheet again!!!!!!!!!

  • this pedal does not convince me...

  • mine didnt come with a sticker :(

  • I didn't get a sticker! I'm sending mine the fuck back!

  • This guy is the poster child of why you should NEVER start smoking weed......

  • can i please have this guy's job??

i'd love to play some ill-fitting barre chords that don't suit the pedal for a living :(

  • Can't wait to get it! When I get the money of course

  • 5:02 Mudhoney!

  • the sound sucks a lottttt

  • @wurstpeter1000 dude wtf?

  • @SuperJackLupino that guy sucks , he play like a 10 year old kid

  • I automaticly skipped to about 1:20, figuring even a gearwire would have cut the crap by then...But luckily I didn't miss the part where he explained the revolutionary ground braking BATTERY LATCH!

  • I find these videos incredibly relaxing.

  • @23Dunkelheit yeah me too, dunno why

  • Great review. It's amazing how a raw review without any hype seems to upset so many died hard big muff fans. Oh it's better than it seems in this video, he doesn't know how to use it blah blah blah.

  • He makes me sleep so i like this guy

  • fire this prick NOW!

  • this guy always looks stoned

  • im realy not interested in all the crap theat comes in the box, just the pedal. thanks

  • This guys sucks!!!! if you put sustain all the way up id adds pretty compression to tit and off course sustain.. its reallly great for make feedback noise and for solos.... if you put all the way up to the tone. give you less middle and put you to rock on....

wow i guess iill have to do my own demo 'cause if someone hear this guys really underrate the big mufff

  • oh my god i hate that blah blah sound that he makes all his guitars and pedals sound like

  • Holy Shit Batman a friggin sticker!!!!!!! Momma can I get one of these and throw away the pedal all I want is the box & that badassed sticker!!!!

  • this guy sounds so dopey i think i'm getting high off the sound of his voice

  • i dont like you sir

  • I don't mind this guy. I don't know why the people even bother complaining.

  • if i crank my amp up to 10 and then put a preamp also on 10 and play a chord i can get the same sound.

  • i dont think he liked it

  • These gearwire guys make good pedals sound terrible! LOL MENTAL!

  • i don't even watch the actual demo, i just giggle at the beginning and move on. he makes all the pedals sound shitty anyway

  • DAMNIT!! There was no sticker in my box!!!

  • well, that helped me make my mind up. not gonna buy one of these.

  • I keep skipping forward and all i see is the guy petting the box, smoothing the pedal... CRANK THE FUCK UP!!!

  • to all of you who complain about his opening the box, go watch something else... i like the unboxing part.

  • @Acidrain1993 haha i totally agree with you, i was super psyched about opening my own big muff when it arrived at my house.

  • he seems so unsure of everything he's saying. just talk normally!

  • shit sound.

  • sounds like a 50 dollar amp

  • @dizzydompie wtf, david gilmour used this!!!

  • @dizzydompie tell that to david gilmour, jack white, dan auerbach, carlos santana, j mascis etc...

  • @stipeur

Some people are scared of fuzz. Pity them and leave them to their tube screamers.

  • @PantheonLincoln haha nice mate

  • anyone else notice how the battery "door" looks like a P-90 pickup? haha.

  • @PeterCRissKISSgod No it doesn't o.o

  • it sounds crap to me i dont see why people like it so much

  • @Kastralis its personal preference. if people didnt have different opinions about what sounds good, we wouldnt have the choices of music we have now, nor the chance for musical geniuses to shine if we all played the same stuff

  • @Kastralis its basically a fuzz pedal... it can be useful for boosting up solos, i believe some people who like dirt stuff really dig it, i dont...

  • @Kastralis dont judge the thing by some micked up set up video from youtube... plus, the guy dosent know how to use it well...

  • Oh cute, plastic wrap and a nice sticker. Oooh, documentation... PLAY THE FUCKING PEDAL ALREADY.

  • jesus h. christ, guys, stop treating the comment box like your personal complaint department.

  • Personally man I'd just skip the warranty card and all that crap and just start out with the pedal plugged in, do you really care about the little catalog? I sure as hell don't

  • do they ever actually use the gear in gearwire? ive never waited around long enough and somehow they keep coming into my life... this is why i hate the internet: fail

  • I just figured out why I like this guy and hate when people diss him -- he actually reminds me EXACTLY of this real cool boss I had once, who defended me against another supervisor and kept me from getting fired and stuff. This was back in hi school in the 70s LOL ! I just realized this !

  • Buddy.. get to it and plug the fucking thing in!

  • @houseofchintz hey some of us like to see what's in the box as well

  • HOLY SHIT BALLS IT COMES WITH A STICKER THATS THE REASON WHY I GOT THIS!!!

  • i love this guy

  • He should read all the documnetations out loud cause then, that would really be exciting.

  • Are there really people who care about boxes, bubble wrap, and stickers? Time is precious. People watch these videos to hear the tone.

  • thats not bubble wrap.

  • wheres the razor blades and cyanide....jees dude cheer up :)

  • strident?

  • at 5:02 my ears died

  • LOL mine came with no stickers. Where's my sticker EHX, did I overpay? Seems these "let's open the box" parts are usable:)

  • we got some bubble wrap and some uhhhh plastic wrap and oooooooohhhh a sticker that's always nice. Psssssh what a douche.

  • what is the review on, the pedal or the box? haha

  • i think his parents kept him in the cellar for a loooooooooooong time

  • @VillanovaJunction11

    he makes me depressive

  • that dude makes the package look more important than the big muff...

  • I bet this dude reads a great bed time story

  • Is it good to be used as lead sound combined to another distortion pedal?

  • that isnt even bubble wrap

  • i have to fast forward anything from gearwire, this guy goes through waaay to much information.

  • I was going to buy this pedal, but those cheap bastards put bubble wrap in the packaging. Thanks for this crucial info!

  • I have this and I play pumpkins on it all day

  • why do you waste so much time to tell us that there is bubble wrap and stickers? What we want is the pedal demo.

  • he looks sooo depressed.

  • listen to some good bands.

  • like who?

  • Actually Gilmour uses a ton of different muffs from triangles to rams heads to modified muffs. In fact, one of his favorites is the Cornish G-2. He used it almost exclusively to record On An Island.

  • skip to 2:25 to hear the pedal

  • Jack White always gets good sound out of it!! :D :D :D

  • omar rodriguez-lopez uses big muff :D

  • This is a great pedal if you like the heavier 90s music, Like Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Queens of the Stone age. And so on. Many stoner Rock/Metal bands use theese Pedals..I have one myself. i think it's awesome, Fit's my style Perfect. So dont just Rant about this pedal just becouse it's Noisy, Use it for what its for...Solo and Heavy Rythm......It definetly dose not fit Blues or Jazz..........Even though the guy could have rewiewed it a bit better...

  • big muff is fuzz or distortion?

  • kinda both. more fuzz i would say tho. its basically the original fuzz pedal

  • wtf is this??? He spent half of the video talking about waranty statement and crap that is in the box rather then actually reviewing the pedal. And as far as that part goes... twisting every knob to the lowest and highest setting can hardly be called a review.

  • david gilmour uses big muff.

  • yeah, but he uses the sovtek big muff.however,he is a genious.i love gilmour

  • actually, gilmour uses the 1973 ram's head version, made in america.

  • big muffs sound like crap now. the ones in the 70's sounded way better

  • This pedal pisses me off. It I have that same set up, with a jagmaster and it always cuts my sound in half. Is that will all distor. pedals or what?

  • all this cunt does it talk about whats in the box. ffs cut to the chase man. hes an idiot anyway, he demos high gain pedals with a tele and then an acoustic sim with a jackson

  • No one cares whats in the fuckin box!!!!!!!!!!!! Shut your mouth and disappoint me with you payed off review & sub-par tone

  • this pedal doesn't use an ac adapter, I tried fitting one in that small hole, and it didn't fit.... I was really disappointed, however the sound is awesome, i'll probably get this pedal in the near future cause of the sound.

  • @herald9

youve either gotta get one of their adapters or a one spot adapter

  • That's what she said :D

  • @Nobody1448 And then skip to 2:12

  • Thurston Moore and lee Rolando of sonic youth use the Russian big muff.

  • If you want a real muff, get one from stomp under foot. Matt makes muff clones that destroy what these pieces of junk are. (The old ones are great, these new ones blow).

  • The most excited I have ever this guy is when he sees the sticker

  • Not nearly as nice sounding as the original '70s box.

  • damn, i started to smile when he put the pedal on and started to play. does this pedal really sound like this? fuck, i have to get one of these

  • the smashing pumpkins used a big muff

  • yeah, so does jack white

  • This guy cracks me up. I like his videos though.

  • wow this dude sounds enthused

  • I'd rather get an envelope filter.

  • what differents are between this big muff and sovtek big muff?

  • LOL you've got a big muff.

  • I never got a sticker with my big muff!!!!!

  • SERIOUSLY. Does ANYONE care how to open the damned box and how to put the battery in the pedal? Just show us what it can do....no...no not like that....show us what it can do...nevermind...LAME

  • Yeah, I love how all these pedal demos have some boring ass dude taking for like 5 minutes and then playing the pedal for like 1 minute.

  • and by the way its a "brilliant" idea to let us hear how it works with a tele and miserable techniques...

  • big muff rules

  • i dint get any stickers...

  • Gearwire is lame. The people sound like they are on valium and cant play.

  • i think the main idea is to demostrate teh pedalz not be all Eddie Van Halen on a guitar demo?

  • They don't have to be stellar. Just SOMEWHAT adequate with the instrument. And, the guys are also just so monotone and blah, like they're hungover. Check out "gearmandude". I think he's Jack Black, but he has TONS of reviews and they're all great.

  • i have checked out gearmandude. his demos are awesome. i just think that 'noodling' kind of kills what would otherwise be an awesome demo. i mean on some demos it would make sense where shredding is necessary but not all of them.

  • Gearmandude doesn't shred? At least on 99% of the vids. Did you actually watch him? He just busts out some well-executed chops in tasteful balance to the pedal he demos. Seriously man, do you really think this demo was good? I've seen many demos on youtube and this one sucks...beastly. The guy looks like he took one too many doses of Zanex and demo'd a pedal he knew nothing about. You definitely don't need to shred or wail in a demo, but at least put it through the gamut to see what it can do.

  • @lesscunning BeerCanDud is a fucken waste of time

  • Munky uses it.

  • It's called a fuzz pedal.

  • i guess none of you as ever heard MUDHONER :(

  • sounds like ****....sorry :(

  • i have it, it isn't that versatile, but with some creativity(maybe equalizers, wahs, others distortions, maybe adjust your volume on the guitar or other pedals) you CAN get a whole lot out of it. on it's own it's a one trick pony, and unless you want suckage, or have a really great amp, you can't really turn it off without getting a very different tone(could be usefull, but not for me)

good for people who like to fool around, or people with patience/feeling for pedals/tones.

  • id say its pretty versitile...i mean Mudhoney, Smashing pumkins and David Gilmour all don't sound the same at all. but i like a pedal to do just one think anyway, its just there to be part of an overall sound and i like knowing exactly what its gonna do everytime

  • my guess is the guitars and amps they use, i just mostly use 1 setup, that's why for me it's not that versatile. but you are right, you can always depend on the muff to be a reliable distortion pedal.

  • yea i see, but all 3 used single coiled fender guitars...all strats too. ampwise, just a standard tube amp. i think that as u said, on its own its pretty much consistant, but it has great potential to be drastically different when combined with others

  • yeah exactly, you're totally right. altough i think smashing pumpkins use orange-like grungey amps and stuff, and gilmour uses more vintage like warm amps, dont know 'bout mudhoney.

  • I'm pretty sure no ones gives a shit how you take the pedal out of it's packaging. Do a quick lesson on how to plug it in and play the damn thing!!

  • yum ...

    telecaster

  • I'm not buying it

  • very very very very very very very very very very very....

  • lol, you guys are fighting on a pedal review video

  • a GEARWIRE video!

  • i never got the sticker -_-

  • i just got a big muff and idk... for some reason i think its fake.

any one know if there could be anyway of me finding out if its fake or not?

  • apparently each one sounds different as far as i know.

  • dude big muffs all sound different depending on what your guitar/amp combination is. It's not like a DS1 where no matter what you use it sounds like crap.

  • *It's not like a DS1 where no matter what you use it sounds like crap. *

so you're saying bradley nowell's and kurt cobain's tone is crap ?

  • Should've been more specific...*NEW* DS1s sound like crap. They have had so many changes that now they suck.

  • kurt cobain used a ds-1 in its prime and its not like he didnt use other distortions. He used a big muff and a rat as well.

  • @Hypnoslinky Kurt Cobain's tone sounds pretty dead to me ;)

  • Thats only true if u plug it rite on in but if u use an effects loop u can get a shit load of different tones thats just my rig tho idk what you use

  • everybody threw shit a this guy, i don't know why? but i really like his pedals reviews

  • what a fag, "oh heres where you put the stamp" I think we know how to put a stamp on an envelope, just stfu and plug the fucker in!

  • who cares whats in the booooox, wow a sticker

  • fuck you, i like stickers

  • Honestly, so do I...I think that's kickass that it comes with one!

  • you made my day. Hahahaha

  • whats the difference between this and the little big muff pi?

  • the size

  • and the sound
