  • is this plane bullet proofed?

  • @bensontam yes, the SkyFighter v2 has been bullet proofed with Henry's fiberglass weave to make it very crash resistant. Please have a look at the link in th the video information bar to the build thread on RC Groups forums for more info.

  • can a e_sky simulator be used for any motor ???

  • sukhdeepsamra sorry I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. If you are asking if the SkyFighter can accept a variety of motors then the answer would be yes. But the motor must put out a minimum of 20-22 ounces of thrust or around 1 to 1 power to weight ratio.

  • that looks like a futaba dx radio what recievers are parkflyer recievers and what kind is better? i watched a vid of a lad stabbing a lipo with a nail that was poked thru a board- it took several stabs to make it start venting, then after it did, it spontaneously combusted - 3 foot flames blasting out of it - im running a lightly mashed lipo now - one corner mashed in 1/2 inch - so far so good -11.1 2800mah

  • pudd750 I was using a Spektrum 6100e receiver when the plane crashed. I do not recommend this or any other brand of park flyer receiver. I try to use only half range or full range receivers in all my fast planes and save the park flyer ones for the slower planes only.

  • could i stack two 9mm foams or one 6 and one 9mm to make this plane. or could i make it out of 1/2 inch pink foam

  • edwarda333 the answers are yes, yes and yes. You can pretty much build this plane the way you want to as long as the dimensions are correct. Check out the link to the build thread on RC Groups forums. The link is in the video side bar. There you can see what other people have built this plane out of.

  • is 8x6 propeller good for 1380 KV motor ??? with lithium battey 3 cell , 11.1 v , 900 Mah ?? ))) other than that nice plane lucky crash

  • juzixa I can't give you a definite answer with the information provided but it seems a bit much for such a small battery unless it's got a 30c or higher rating. Without knowing the max amp draw of the motor with that prop on it and the max constant output of the battery (C rating x battery mAh) I would only be guessing. The best way to find out would be to use a Watts up meter (watt / amp meter) I'll send you some links to info on rcFoamFighters blog that might help you.

  • thanx ))) :)

  • I want to make a blu-cor version .... but yet another one of my chargers broke so I can't fly until they give me a new one...

Great plane , reminds me of a Stryker !

    5 Stars

  • Thanks for the 5* RCFLIGHTHELP!! Blu-cor should work fine but won't take a crash at 80mph! Please be sure to check out the build forum I started on this plane. the link is in the video sidebar. Good luck with your build!!!

  • Possibly the most dangerous thing i have ever seen !!!! Not you flying but putting a freshly crashed 11.1 volt lipo in your pocket are you mad??? these things have set fire to peoples cars and houses whilst on charge let alone having just been stuck in the ground at 80mph please dont do it again. Otherwise Great video.

  • Thanks pmikey666. I am well aware of the dangers of LiPo batteries. I have read the warnings, seen the videos and checked the forums on this subject. LiPo batteries can explode into a ball of flames but need an ignition source like a battery charger to do so. If punctured they will violently vent a flammable gas, if damaged they can puff and burst but still need an ignition source to go into flames. Watch the video closer and you will notice the only thing that came from my pocket was the ESC.

  • You really should learn to fly better before trying these high speed runs so close to a crowd. That lipo would've been sent through your camera ladies head if it was much closer.

  • mjones928 I agree with you on that 100% sometimes I scare myself with the way I fly!! I'll try to tame it down a bit from now on. Thanks for the concerns

  • Plane fast, ground hard!!;-)

  • revmkell, you got that right!!! Ground very hard!!!

  • forgot to ask.. how much did that battery cost?

  • mxf7010g8k we get these batteries for about$16 online from hobby city when the have then in stock. At this price they run out quite often.

  • wow i would say

  • Flew great with the two cell.

They say that not to use parkflyer RX for fast planes or long range flying.. Sorry to hear for your losses but great plane.

    BruceM 5 stars

  • BMFoamy thanks for the 5* and you are right about the parkflyer RX. I won't be using them in my fast plane setups anymore it's just too risky.

  • You might still be able to save that ESC, Frank. If the board isn't cracked and the foil is still okay the ESC might be rescued. If you don't want to try it you can PM me and send it to me by snail mail. It's worth a little postage to save the 'tronics.

The battery pack, on the other hand, is simply a fire waiting to happen. I presume you have disposed of this pack by now. Pictures will do; no need to keep a potentially dangerous pack lying around.

  • SomeUselessGeek Thanks for offering to fix the esc! I will have a look at it this weekend and if its repairable will fix it. The battery is sitting in a salt water solution to drain all the power out of it before I throw it away. That's the only way to dispose of these Lipos safely.

  • the 2 cell setup looks nice and relaxing. and if you're goin to learn how to fly a pusher prop jet for the first time, then the bulletproof feature is the best benefit to go along with a new flyer who has a 99% chance of crashing. my friend just crashed a beautiful scale balsa mitubishi zero using the spektrum park receiver too. 5 stars for your well rounded and battery killing plane Frank

  • Thanks for the 5* wildhover!! The plane is definitely very relaxing and fun to fly with the 2 cell setup and I agree it would be great for beginner pilots. Paul is starting to call me battery killer Frank, lol!!!

  • I wonder if the styrofoam is shielding the signal causing less range. Just a thought. BTW, let's try a 4 cell battery.

  • garyshoaf I don't think the Styrofoam was the problem as I had my friend Joe solder some double length antennas on the rx and they so they would be able to reach outside the hatched compartment. He is an electrical engineer and said the longer antennas might help the range a little bit. It was definitely farther out than the last time it happened on my Tailless Delta. As for the 4 Cell I don't think this motor is rate for one.

  • It was just a thought. Styro may not even shield a signal. If I can find the time (12 hr. shifts for the next 2 months), I'll experiment with a 4 cell. BTW, You can probably just solder the wire back to the terminal on your ESC. Tough plane!

  • Thanks for the info! We would love to see or hear about your results with a 4 cell. Your talking some mad speed if the motor will take it. Please do keep us informed!

  • Man that EPP is bullet proof! Maybe you should re-build the bullet plane with the EPP. I'd like to see that one fly at it's full potential. Just a thought. Anyway, nice video and keep up the good work.

  • Thanks Mike! You must be reading my mind cause I'm working on the EPP version of the Bullet Plane v2!! We can rebuild it make it bigger, badder and faster than before, Hehehe!!!! It will be different but still the same only with more power!!!! Oh yeah!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, was it a 6100e??.I've had em die on me within 600ft and nothing between me and the plane. Its garbage. I wouldnt put it in a disposable plane.Even foamies deserve better.Nice vid and sorry bout your battery.esc.

  • NavalWarfare It was an AR6100e rx and I should have known better not to use it because like yourself I have had issues with them in the past. These are park flyer rx and only rate to 1000ft so it really was my own fault. I just didn't have a full range rx small enough for this plane. I'll be getting a full range rx soon.

  • which rx was that?

  • my2cents0 it was an AR6100e Spektrum park flyer rx. Not a good choice for fast rc planes.

  • lok if you guys want to get youfr name out there more you could give dave powers a plane without electronics LOL.

  • mxf70g8k thanks for the suggestion. I know you are only trying to help us out but both Paul and I could never do that. We respect Dave Powers too much and would feel like we were using him to achieve something we haven't earned. Dave has spent quite a few years to get where he is at and has opened the door for the rest of us. We will be proud if someday we can accomplish what he has done but only if it's our own doing. Thanks for wanting to help and please don't take this the wrong way.

  • ur too modest. i posted on his forum this video.. that battery was MESSED UP! lol.i was more thinking not getting ur name out by him but having him fly one of your planes and possible do a review. you guys make great stuff. if you ever talk to dave hes a really down to earth guy and just a great person.

  • nice prefer the other music but fantastic on a 2s man love it might teach my girlfriend how to fly with it lol defo buildin it

  • Cool you decided to build one!! I really liked the way this plane flies with the two cell. It was very relaxing and fun!! With the 3 cell it's all adrenaline!!! Please let us know how your build goes.

  • ye it wont be right away due to me been 15 and expense but i will within the next few months

  • FlyHighRC386 I can understand that. Maybe you will get lucky and win this month's free giveaway!! Please be sure to check out the new build forum on this plane. I just posted it on RC Groups last night. I still have a lot to do on it but it's off to a good start. I put links in all three of this planes video sidebars. I will probably announce it in my next video.

  • Nice vid! 5*

  • Thanks for the 5* sloshays!! Stay tune there is more coming soon!!

  • Nice, I went from a wild hawk to rcpowers F-117 in two weeks and that 2212-06 was unstoppable with the 3 cell. I tried a nice zippy 2cell 1600 and it was alot more mild and enjoyable. just lost the unlimited vertical it had. Nice crash, amazingly strong planes.

  • Thankscmreel! My first plane was an Aero Bird with a brushed motor and a couple weeks later after it blew away I built my first kit. It was a Wild Wing with a 2212-06

running on zippy 2200 25c 3cell packs. Talk about a fast learning curve. Good thing that plane was made of EPP!! It did fly well on 2 cells aswell.

  • lol, thats nice. slow vs speedy. ur v2 sure flies great with both setup. except the crash. no more parkflyer rx next time :)

  • Thanks kapitanC!! Believe me I'll be getting a new full range rx for this one. Those park flyer rx just don't have the range.

  • Great Frank. Really like how the music changes with the setups. What's with your planes and the blacktop? NO MORE PARKFLYER RECEIVERS, lol. That Rhino battery looks like a ball of clay now. That 2 cell setup looked perfect any pilot. It actually has a lot of float! I am very impressed. Can't wait until I'm further south towards you guys. Keep on keepin on. -Brandon

  • Brandon I don't know what's up with the blacktop. Seems these plane all have blacktop magnets hidden in the nose that pulls them down to the ground, lol!!! On the other hand it could just be my novice piloting skills! either way now you know why I build bullet proof planes. Looking forward to seeing you guys again.

  • Man that plane really is as hard as nails,i'm sorry you lost the battery and ESC but the plane is still sound ;-) oh was the RX a AR6100e again??? but what a great video again=5*

  • startazz you gotta love EPP it just bounces back!! The rx was an AR6100e park flyer rx. I know I should't have used it but there wasn't room for a dual receiver. I will be looking at getting an AR6250 full range rx for this plane.

  • I use that receiver in almost all my planes and i fly them quite far, I alway use an ESC with way more amp than needed and I've never had any receiver issues.

  • Skydive4ever the extra amps must be helping but consider yourself one of the lucky ones because this receiver is only rated at 1000 ft range from what I have found on the rc forums. Lots of people have had problems starting at 600ft out. This was the third crash I have had from being out of range. The other two were with my Tailless Delta Wings. I haven't had any more problems with them since I switched them to dual receiver setups

  • Ok, I do use the dual receivers on all my long range planes (gliders and big planes) for sure. PS just found you on Twitter :-)

  • Woah! Tough one :-O

  • Skydive4ever all I can say is EPP is the most resilient foam to build rc planes out of. And it is truly bulletproof when you use it with henrys fiberglass weave. If you haven't tried it yet you don't know what you are missing!!

  • Nice, I have a extra 2212-06 laying around, I would like to build a plane like that one.

  • rctestflight thanks and please if you build it let us know how the build goes and what you think of the plane after you fly it. We would love to get some input from anyone building this plane.
