When I was beginning to learn the Moeller, I practiced these techniques with the first few pages of the book "Stick Control" by George Stone. I started at 30bpm and went faster every day til I reached 120bpm. After that, I started working on the actual whip motion.
I'm guessing your on traditional grip so tighten the fulcrum(fleshy part of the thumb and index finger) a little bit more but at the same time stay relaxed.Try doing single strokes by just holding the stick with the thumb and index finger fulcrum.
Thanks so much, this is helping me greatly. I used to be a marching snare drummer(a long time ago) and now I realize why I didn't seem to be getting as much rebound due to my grip.
Oh and btw, I actually have just under 40 private students here in Kent, about 20 miles south of Seattle, and I plan to send them all a link to your videos. It really is an excellent presentation.

Now that it's been a couple of years, I'd like to see some new videos without Mom on the phone in the background.
