  • Who did the trailer wiring, I've not been under mine to find the wires for the 7 pin, but I'm aware there is a round socket with 4 at the drivers side over the axle.

  • you shouldn't tow anything over 10,000LBS even if you have the V10 and the good rear axle.

  • man these vans had alot of engine options. from v6 to v10, still great vans!

  • @komahoby Actually, I don't think these do come with a 6 cylinder. I know E150's do. I have an E150 with a 300ci straight 6, but I don't think the E350 comes with anything smaller than a 5.4L v8. My E150 is seriously underpowered with the 6 cylinder. It runs fine at driving speed, but accelerating is a drawn out process. I can't imagine driving something even bigger with that little motor. Of course, I've got 250 000 miles on it. It might have been a more willing 200 000 ago. hahahaha

  • @rainfice0629 Yeah those idiots put that little V6 in them, they blow head gaskets before 100,000 you can expect it with it. I towed a Mustang on a steel car trailer from Nashville to NC with my 15 passenger 5.4, it was modded with exhaust and tuning at the time, loaded with belongings, I got 14 MPG running 75-80, no slowing on hills, in fact it was accelerating up the long pull after the rest stop. I've modded my intake since mileage is down, likely needs cleaning, been 10 years

  • Nice, I use a V10 E350 as a work truck.

I tow 10K all the time, but on nothing more than hills. How does it do on steep climbs?

  • We took it through the Rockies last year and only really slowed down on a very few climbs. Never overheated even with the a/c on pulling the 11k trailer. Still only have 34k miles on it so i expect to have it for at least another 5-6 years.

  • Nice, it looks great! What year?

Mine has 167,000 miles and the V10 is still going strong, but the body looks like a 10 year old work truck.

  • My E350 is pretty rough, but I expected that since it's a high capacity unit.

And last summer when gas was over $4 and diesel was over $5 I was sure happy to have the gas version - 7,000 miles worth.

I don't use the van much except for pulling the camper. Only have 35,000 miles on it total, so it's still in great shape.

  • I had two 03 E150(bought new) with the 4.2 v6 that I put 250000 miles on with no problem until I traded them nov 07 on two 08 E150s with the 4.6 v8 I have 114000 miles on one and 89000 on the other so far no problem with these ones except the 08s has such a stiffer ride then the 03s did.

  • i will get a diesel better

  • nice van! with a v-10 too. awsome
