  • Trippy as fuck.

  • are you using a simple digitech whammy wich is made for guitars? ( i mean the red one )

  • SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE.

  • I'm going to tape a pencil to a dildo. Same effect, and, hey, chicks dig dildos.

    Amiright?

  • That's cool man. Awesome.

  • this is taking away what makes the bass sound cooler like the guitar!TT

  • dude i fucking need that

  • Nice. I need to get an E bow for my bass now. Great Video.

  • this sounds like dubstep before its time.

  • nice bass! pedulla 5-string?

  • thas what the beatles used in "i feel fine "

  • @yomotoro the ebow wasn't invented until 5 years after they released I Feel Fine

  • Nice textures, I'd love to jam with you.

  • strangely, this cured the splitting headache I had... thanks man =)

  • Hypnotic Happiness...

  • Wow. I need that.

  • Bass is such an exciting instrument...

Effects are the best thing to ever happen to it.

  • my bass must be tuned wrong cuz my ebow wont work

  • @loosifur You're a dumbfuck. It's tailored for guitar string spacing, and it needs to be parallel to the pickups. Tuning doesn't matter at all. You just need to hold it steady.

  • @SlapPopStacy okay thanks

  • trippy stuff!!!

  • If I heard this without knowing what it was I would never guess it was played on bass.

  • Cool, I want such an E-Bow for my Bass too :D

  • @FunkySkunk90i have one there it was cool for like 20 mins....there for guitar...if they made one "for bass" id might buy that.....i was going to give mine away...but i lost it :(

  • wicked mate. This has gave me some great ideas :)

  • badass man! space rock ftw

  • wah =/= whammy, guys. wah pedals function are pretty much low pass filters attached to an expression pedal. whammy pedals are pitch shifters attached to an expression pedal.

  • a wah is a band pass filter, not a low pass filter

  • Cool

  • super bon matos

    good!!!

  • I was thinking of using an EBow with bass, how much is an EBow?

  • @HumanJarv About $100, I believe.

  • @HumanJarv 99.99$

  • @HumanJarv about 80 buks.......im giving mine away to a guy....just keep that in mind....try it b4 u buy it

  • carefull of using the ebow over the pickups, the magnets can screw them up, good stuff though!

  • they're made to be played over the pickups. you cant mess up a magnetic coil with another magnet, it's not like a tv =P

  • sounds like radiohead or pink floyd

  • That's a Pedulla, right?

  • My grandparents were British and used to send those blue tins of cookies to us when we were young

  • Very nice

  • Nice bass! What is it?

  • I think its a pedulla rapture but I'm not sure

  • it sure is...pedulla rapture single soapbar lovely

  • Amazing... I'm in awe

  • Nice effects

  • this is how tom morello would play bass lol... thats sick

  • lol what's the effect you added? up until then it sounds like a string bass

  • i love this! specially how you don't need any technic to to this - you just use creativity and experiment where the midia takes you.

    ART!

  • very nice sound like a cello i think ^_^

  • real Shit

  • wow that sounds beautiful, definitely my next investment in guitar.bass effects. great playing

  • Thats a nice sounding bass, what kind is it?

  • looks like a pedulla bass

  • Very cool little solo btw... I'm considering an ebow for a sixtring bass.

  • I have a BP200 pedal, that pitch shift effect is on the preset called "Sweep"...

  • I think he had this massive thing called an orchestra behind him. Who knows though.

  • theres talent in music with no effects and then theres talent with effects. they both take different skills. Shoegazing music for example is most based on effects. Its about getting a cool sound

  • this is pretty sick

  • you sound like you're an asshole. fuck you!

  • too much whammy

  • umm theres no wammy buddy.

  • umm yeah there is

  • Dude. That's a whammy.

  • sounds like a pitch shifter too

  • i dont know what you people call it, but thats called a wah wah.

  • No....that's the phaser that is making that alternating sound. The whammy pedal is what is changing the pitch, just as a 'whammy' or tremolo would do.

  • ur a retard, 1:00 when you hear his notes going up and octave thats the whammy pedal

  • ...wah wah.

  • whammy.

  • i know...it's just funny to me to hear the wah called wah-wah.

  • its called a whammy sir, wah wah switches from bass to trebble, whammy messes with pictch. and by you people you must mean people that know more about this stuff then yyuo

  • its a pedal but its a pitch shifter not a whammy. cuz the pitch goes up.

  • That's the whole point of the whammy pedal. Just as a whammy bar does, it shifts the pitch.

  • sparkeypluggs, it's a whammy pedal.

  • very cool

  • REALLY OUT OF THIS WORLD SOUNDS.

  • is that a guitar whammy or bass whammy?

if its guitar can u tell me which whammy it is ?

    will be much apreciated

    Rob

  • lol, first notes are MUSE TiRo XD

    correct?

    nice vid!

  • Pedulla

  • Hi All I got a new account so i could comment.

  • That sounded cool, I wanna be in the corner playing drums to that.

  • is that the whammy 4 or another whammy?

  • Those Danish butter cookies look so good

  • Holyyy shit... I think the band "Tool" used this in the middle of their song 'Schism'... I always wondered how they got that sound!

  • lol

I love how you put it in ""

  • nah. he got that sound using a digitech whammy pedal.

  • but he does use an ebow on "lost keys (blame hofmann)".

    i think it's that song.

regardless, he does use an ebow on bass on the album "10,000 days".

  • No, a PS3 is a paperweight. =]

  • are u in Apartment?? lol

  • (ozobazz) no stupid that is a E bow

  • yeah ! you rocks !

  • well so I think that settles it, Definitely going to have to get an ebow and some delay

  • damn! i need one of those toys.

  • its thata a wammy?

  • Thats was really good but I noticed in this vid and Bela Fleck's vid on this I noticed some noise when the player slides or changes postions. Seems like you might a fretless instrument to sound right.

  • Steve Lawson does a lot of stuff on a fretless with ebow. Less effects though, so I dunno if it's what you're after.

  • nice nice ^^

  • AWSOME!

  • Very cool effects with the eBow - I've gotten some great advice from a friend who has a Bass Sustainaic installed in one of his. My next bass might very well be a total "Special Effects": a Bass Sustainaic along with a Kahler trem.

  • It's Similar to a Sinthé ! So Magic, I like !

  • Omg! radioheads "where i end and you begin" at 0:45!

  • Heh, I don't think it was intentional but I think I was playing that bassline just before I recorded it so it may have slipped it :p

  • those are totally different notes.

  • looks like cello some times, man thats really cool!!

  • ты крут

  • I love the sound, props on that man.

  • Bass + Ebow + Delay + Phaser + Whammy = blah.

  • Very nice to listen to, thanks!

  • i kept waiting for the action... disappointing

  • It's just a demo really, I'm working it into a couple of songs at the moment.

  • Nice synth. sound.

  • Musical experimenation ? Good feeling man i love your stuff ! Check out my vids !

  • Sounds kind of Toolish./

  • Yeah, I'm planning to use it in a Lost Keys interlude in my next gig :p

  • That's nice, sounds like a cello. Once I get profficient at guitar, I plan to use an E-Bow in a lot of my music.

  • pure awesome

    Muse fan?

    It sounds perfect :D

  • E-bows are the coolest Effect.Paul Stanley used them on his solo album back in 1978.Cool playing.Nice Pedulla.

  • Dude, this is awesome. What are the effects you're using, they give this awesome Tool like sounds. Nice playing btw.

  • where can i get one of those things? and what are they called

  • man it's so hard to play a bass with an ebow because the little grooves in the edges are designed for a guitar. Nice job with it, man. I'm still trying to work it out

  • Does the newer whammy track bass well?

  • WOW....fasher and whammy it's ok !!!

  • man, where'd you get that pedulla?

  • dude, i loved it. i really like the sound of techno and that is just awesome. best part is 3:00 to 3:10. oh and uh, boobs rule... totally.

  • Nope. My pedalboard is:

EBS MultiComp, Digitech Whammy, EMMA DiscomBOBulator, Subdecay Noisebox, Boss LS-2, DHA VT2 Dual Bass Custom, Akai Deep Impact, MXR Blowtorch, Big Muff Pi (Russian), Boss OC3, Boss ODB-3, MXR Phase 90, Boss DD6, Ebow.

    What? You asked :p

  • do you play any other istruments? sound cool

  • Wahoo, we got exactly the same Pedulla, so exiting!!

  • Do you have a Bass whammy?

  • sounds very muse or tool-esque. great work!

  • so cool, so Tool!

  • niceness..coolism!

  • Well, that's not my normal amp - it's a Fender Frontman. Not great. My usual amp's an Ashdown ABM-115-500.

  • justin chancellor would be proud. keep up the good work.

  • Cool sound, and nice playing! Gratz 5/5

  • It's a 1995 Pedulla Rapture RB5 (single soapbar pickup).

  • I want one of those!!!! who knows the brand of the bass?

  • Very cool and inspirational.
