Not quite. Sasori wasn't suicidal, he didn't want to die. What killed Sasori was hesitation. As the puppets of his parents came approaching him from both sides, much like he had used them to hug himself when he was a child, he must have hesitated. In the end Sasori could never completely kill his own emotions, he could never fully become a puppet. That was his end.
