You can buy metals such as magnesium and cobalt for white and blue effects, buy it in bar or simmilar form, and grind it into a fine powder, also, try 1ml of gasoline on the end of the sp heads to have all of the sp light at once, instead of a n elctronic ignition that only gets a few initially.

@Frizey69 sorry for the late reply.. the color does not matter! all the color is is the small pices of aluminum powder igniting when they get hot.. the power comes from the that it mixed in with the powder so you will be fine with any sparkler u use!

@therealskaterkid sorry i am replying to these coments all late... well basicaly sparklers burn slow... the fule on a sparkler heets up the sparks ( Aluminium powder) and then it pushes the powder of and that makes the spark. the little pushes go for a long period of time... when you make a rocket you are puting alot of sparklers together in a small space.. the sparklers all egnite and get extreamly hot and egnites all the fule at once. all of the fule pushes the sparks out at once and makes fly

You should really cut the wires off of the sparklers... The extra area is taking a lot of the heat, so if you cut the wire off, it will have more propulsion. More heat=more thrust=better rocket.

Would you mind telling me how? If you make any rockets or sparkler fountains, you would know the thrust it gives. Somehow, I think you do not. I once had a failed sparkler fountain where the legs made of wire were not strong enough and bent and flew about 10 yards away... and it was only a bundle of !30! sparklers. Now find out how far it will go with 125 rockets... do the math. Personal experience is best in any situation.

our wire also melts but it only needs replacement every 20 launches. We are using a standard chicken wire. I'm guessing the wire your using is thinner or softer. My only suggestion is to find a better wire. A permanent solution is to go to a hardware store a buy a drain grill similar to the ones used in showers. If you get a good one it will fit perfectly into your PVC.

Calculations say the optimum amount is 93.321 sparklers so 91 is the best amount (in terms of efficiency). In reality it's about 99 which gives the best efficiency. but you can make a 20 sparkler rocket fly. If yours did not go anywhere then there are errors in your design or materials.

tape = safety. don't underestimate the distance it looks a lot shorter on camera most of them do go an excess of 100m. Our furthest shot isn't on camera but i got out a tape measure and measured the distance later and it was 223m away.

well if you place the rocket on the ground and lite it it shuld just shoot along the ground ... if you point it up and ad some guidence then it will fly streight up... the rockets work very well as sky rockets aswell

yer it would make it lighter but the londer the rocket is the more sable on the pitch ... it will prevent it from tilting or pitching up or down or let and right...

the sp handles arnt that much weight ... the rocket is stronger with them and more stable... wwe tested it with and without and there is basicalyno diferance.. it flys perfectly. the extra handles are only like a extra 25 grams
