  • Great tribute. May have missed a few, but we all have our favorites, right...

Big Duane Allman fan. Though he was already dead when Ramblin Man was written and recorded. Would recommend Whippin Post, Dreams, Statesboro Blues, or One Way Out for a 2nd cut (if it happens)

  • Joe Strummer (The Clash), George Harison (The Beatles), Steve Clark (Def Leppard), Syd Barett (Pink Floyd), Blind Willie Johnson?

  • Eric Carr (Cancer), Johnny Ramone (Cancer), Dee Dee Ramone (Drug Overdose), John Entwistle (Drug Overdose), Tim Buckley (Drug Overdose), Jeff Buckley (Drowned), Cliff Burton(Crushed by falling bus)

  • Jeff Buckley should have been included. He drowned at the age of 30 when being caught in the wake of a passing boat on May 29th, 1997. And for the lyrics you could go with Hallelujah or a lyric from "So Real" with the lyric being "And I couldn't awake from the nightmare that pulled me under, pulled me under". There, have it sorted out for that one.

  • what's the randy rhoad's song?

  • @nirvanafan91ify "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne

  • Duane Allman's song?

  • @studioflip "Ramblin' Man"

  • Brad nowel?

  • I love the music snippets and how u matched them to mention death/suicide etc. Very creative

  • George Harrison

    Died: 2001

    Cause: Lung Cancer/smoking

  • we could include Beatles (Stu Sutcliffe-brain hemorage due to attack, & George Harrison-cancer), Badfinger-Tom Evans-suicide, Alice in chains (Mike Starr-od,& lane Staley heroin od), Tammy Terrell aka Thomasina Montgomery-tumor in head due to beating, Berry Oakley-Allman Bros- motorcycle accident, Allen Woody (allman bros) heroin od, Eddie Cochran-auto accident, Marc Bolin-auto accident, Jackie Wilson-massive heart attack, John Entwistle-heart attack, amoung others that were not listed.

  • I know it might be hard to believe but I thought some of these artists were still alive. Like Peter Tosh, Frank Zappa. Etc.

  • What is Janis Joplin's song?

  • @beatlegirl95 "Kosmic Blues"

  • R.I.P. John

  • what is selena's song called?

  • @beatlegirl95 "Dreaming Of You" is the Selena song.

  • What is the name of the song at 1:57?

  • @bobfari if you mean the Andy Gibb one, it's "(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away"

  • Where the fuck is Cliff Burton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @levelup21 Cliff Burton although cool is extremely overrated. Him along with Dimebag Darrell have been mentioned in almost all these tribute vids. They don't need to be mentioned so often. Plus, they were just normal musicians and there deaths have just added to folklore that they are some kind of gods, which they are not. They were just musicians like all the others. They weren't THAT great.

  • long memories of the great mama cass, died of a heart attack- not the crap the media invented.

  • Karen Carpenter was actually 32 years old when she passed just one month short of her 33rd. :)

  • @Tonydan48 thanks for the correction. an annotation should pop up now to fix that.

  • @eeldeal Thanks! Excellent tribute btw. One of the best I have seen here on YouTube. :)

  • RIP MICHAEL

    RIP KURT

    RIP JIM

    RIP JOHN

    RIP OTHER JOHN

AND RIP EVERYONE ELSE I LOVE YOU ALL

  • What About Layne Staley of Alice in Chains? He was 34 when he died from Drug Addiction.

  • Comment removed

  • Where is Harry Chapin? he was 38.

  • You forgot George! D:

  • It's so sad how so many good artists are gone ):

  • WHere the fuck is DENNIS WILSON!!!

  • @MMAStoopid Dennis Wilson is already in it.

  • George should have been in it.. i know he was 58 but still far too young.

  • Randy Rhoads was 25, not 26!

  • @91ACDC91 thanks for the correction. an annotation pops up now with the right number.

  • @JoshSkywalker2142 Looks like many people wanted to see George Harrison in this. The age limit ended up being 55 for this video while George died at 58.

  • Brilliant Tribute Lots of really Missed Tallent!!!

  • Where was George Harrison

  • I loved your tribute, congrats.

  • No George Harrison?!?!?!

  • quite surprised marilyn monroe wasnt there

  • @nojolie Marilyn Monroe wasn't really known as a music star, although she did sing a number of songs in her movies

  • WTF, no George Harrison. Are you crazy!!

  • @KieranT878 the maker is a huge George Harrison fan but the emphasis was given to those who died at younger ages. George died at 58 which is old compared to those in the video.

  • Don't you think that Roy Orbinson's age when he died (which is 52) is pretty close?

  • And what about the same for Frank Zappa?

  • Jerry Garcia, too. Sorry if I keep sending you alot of comments. I'll try to bring It all in one piece next time.<

AND DON'T FORGET MY FAVOURITE MUSICIAN OUT OF ALL OF THESE, JOHN DENVER AT 53!

  • @MusicbyBenjamin Orbison (52), Zappa (52), Garcia (53), Denver (53), & Shannon (55) rounded out the upper end of this list in terms of age. Those are middle-aged deaths for those who at least enjoyed a good chunk of life. Those who died in their 20's missed much more. Valens (17) didn't even get to become an adult.

  • @eeldeal That's what I'm trying to point out. But my point is that Del Shannon, John Denver, Roy Orbinson, & Jerry Garcia are pretty close to Harrison's age. O.K.?

  • @MusicbyBenjamin yeah, Harrison died at 58 while 55 ended up being the upper age limit on this video.

  • where is jeff buckley?

  • Marc Bolan - T-Rex died in a car crash age 29 two weeks before his 30th birthday.

  • you for got james dean and michael jackson and ray charles

  • @Hannahorse715 James Dean wasn't a music star, and Michael Jackson IS in it, the last one shown.

  • @eeldeal well u shoulda put aaliyah one of the most important female artist and very talented then i woulda been happy. shes not rap. R N B rip aaliyah

  • HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU SKIP TO MICHAEL JACKSON AND FORGET AALIYAH AND LEFTEYE WHO WERE 2001 AND 2002

  • layne staley.

  • i cried at michael jackson part replayed it lik 30 times

  • That's very beautiful & comprehensive. Just mentioning honorably some other famous names:

Hank Williams 1953, 29, heart attack or overdose

Patsy Cline 1963, 30, plane crash

Jim Reeves 1964, 40, plane crash

    Tami Terrell 1970, 24, cancer

    Jackie Wilson 1984, 49, pneumonia

Ricky Nelson 1985, 45, plane crash

Carl Wilson (Dennis' brother & fellow Beach Boy) 1998, 51, cancer

  • @riv4life618 And although I absolutely hate when people compare MJ to the King, I must say if MJ's death was considered "over-medicated" then so should Elvis'. Or what it was officially labeled as initially "cardiac arrhythmia" or heart attack

  • @riv4life618 Those would be great additions. Perhaps another edition should be made called "55 Music Stars Who Left Early". Can you mention death-related snips of lyrics that go with the artists you listed?

  • @riv4life618 george harrison of the beatles 2001 at 58 death by cancer use the song my sweet lord

  • what about Aaliah?

  • RIP ronnie van zant

  • Some surprises in there I didn't know Otis Redding died so young.

  • what about Bradley Nowell

  • i hate when peeps say bob marly smokin his pot killed him idiots

  • George Harrison-58?

  • good viedo.. but the song played for ritchie valens isnt by him,,its by rey peterson

  • @doentaskquestions Ray Peterson recorded that song as well but i think it is the Ritchie Valens version of "Tell Laura I Love Her" that's in this video.

  • RIP Bon Scott (the greatest singer ever)

  • you missed a few like brad nowell, layne stayley, and cliff burton

  • no, tom fogerty no es quien canta en la cancion que se muestra. Es su hermano john, cuando tocaban juntos en creedence. Mucha gente se los confunde.

  • @fachocreedence The song that goes with Tom Fogerty is still appropo since John has said the song was about rising tension within CCR and the imminent departure of his brother Tom from the band.

  • @eeldeal Pongan una canción de Tom Fogerty como solista!

  • YOU FORGOT LAYNE STALEY!!!

  • forgot the blind melon guy

  • Bob Marley is alive, saw him last week in Jamaica ...

  • u probably saw one of his sons

  • Yes bob marley died to cancer present under one of his toenails. Rastafari never amputate!

  • your bob marley is wrong bro, he died from a growth of somekind on his lips and did not believe in medicine. so he died it was curable but it was not cancer.

  • Bob Marley's death was caused by acral lentiginous melanoma (a skin cancer) present under one of his toenails.

  • eeldeal is right cuz he broke his toe playing soccer and when it didnt heal they found out he had cancer. and he refused to get it amputated because of his religion

  • On this video, what songs were playing for Ritchie Valens, Sam Cooke, Brian Jones, John Lennon,Bob Marley, Karen Carpenter, Dennis Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Andy Gibb, Roy Orbison, Selena Perez, and John Denver

  • Type the artist and lyrics you hear sung with their image into a search engine.

  • brian jones is paint it black

    john lennon is yur blues

  • 5 stars!

  • nice vid

  • put the rev in this video

  • What rev are you referring to?

  • jimmy "the rev" sullivan from avenged sevenfold

  • The video is in chronological order so The Rev would have to take over the last slot. It's much more fitting to have a megastar like Michael Jackson wrap it up.

  • sweet video! :D
