wow french fries and no airfilter, you´ll soon kill the ´unkillable´ engine! i have a -83 240D and drive it on regular diesel and intend to keep it that way for my engines sake. it only got 335000kms so far and after sitting 3 years i can say that everything works except for the glowplug dashlight and the light in the seat heater button! everything else workes!

@coolakiIlen007 thank you for that statement Diesel fuel is the only way to go my engine has 310,000 US MILES and thats becuase of the oil changes and running diesel fuel

what do you mean its running on french fries... i have a veggie oil 240d same year and make and i have filters and hoses running all around the engine and theyre very evident i dont see anything abnormal about your engine..

Don't get me wrong. This is a great car and it's incredible that it works, but I've seen 240Ds in better conditions at about the same mileage.
