  • Nice clip but it's 5:20 mins too long!

  • That does look like something from another planet or out of our future.

  • Looks like something built by aliens, never seen this thing before, but it looks great and very unique. Why are there so many thumbs-down on this video??

  • to avoid wasting time just go to 5:18

  • der

  • looks like a big insect.

  • It was built as a high altitude bomber, carrying conventional HE and capable of launching a single stand off Blue Steel nuclear weapon (similar to a cruise missile). It ended it's career as an in flight refuelling tanker........famous for the biggest logistic train of 17 aircraft to enable a single Vulcan to bomb Port Stanley in the Falkland islands.

  • what is its specialty? bombing? spying?

  • If this aircraft was American it would still be flying at airshows.

In fact, if this aircraft was in America, it would probably be flying in airshows!

It is all about money - it costs serious cash to keep these aircraft in the air and the UK airshow circuit just doesn't provide it :-(

  • @SAHBfan

I dunno why we cant use this as a bomber full stop?

It carried 35 bombs (1000 lbs each) in its heyday!

The Americans still use the B-52 and its a high level bomber thats been around since the 1950's!

  • i would do anything to have a ride and sit in that lolz

  • wow ... what a long video to show nothing!!

  • Great Video of the build up to "Teasin tina's" surprise half-takeoff that day, if only this vid was 11-15 seconds longer it would be 100% perfect, know what i mean? ; )

Impressive Footage quality too (Most such Videos on YT have quite a lot of Pixelation).

  • @TSR1989FF nothing you say ??/ lol that there is something tbh m8 she the queen of the skys as with the vulcan and lancaster and so on lol she my friend probs saved all of our arses as much as the vulcan did :)

  • @arbitar222 ????

I think you've sent your response to me by mistake ("Mazuk33" was the one to state what you quote not me).

Indeed she was the Queen of the Skies, one that the CAA should allow to fly like XH558 (after all she isn't by any means incapable of flying as we all know from what happened next ; )

Here's to the day when we have a "Cold War Memorial Flight"

("Canberra" / "Valiant" [the 1 left] / "Vulcan" / "Victor" / "Buccaneer" and the "BAC TSR-2" all being great candidates for one).

  • @TSR1989FF lol bloody hell sorry ol'e chap lol it would be brilliant to see that happen especially but only the only big shame is the vulcans grounded due to not having enough money to keep her flying unfortunately and for the victor oh she can fly thats for sure i think she took over the pilots and flew her self lol

  • I humbly apologise for the title, it took us all by surprise, especially my son who stood in the way just as it ballooned into the air! There are many good shots of the inadvertent take off from differing angles by others.......Sorry.

If the spoof title offends, I will take the clip down.

  • @FrankCosPhi It's your vid. you can call it what you want...Don't let others tell you otherwise. That day the Victor just wanted to go where it belonged...IN THE AIR!!!...Thanks for sharing your video. The last time i saw one of these here in the states was like 10 yrs. ago. It might have been the same plane.

  • 5 mins 45 seconds of a plane sitting on the tarmac, I'm going to sue for false advertising. LOL

  • It is me or this plane really looks cool. This is the first time I saw this plane on anywhere. It looks like it is from outer space and also futuristic. I don't know why but I really like this weird look. even though it is really old...

  • Was this the famous 'accidental take off' run?

  • i blinked and missed it ... :/

  • Misleading title. No flying what so ever.

  • Attention the Scumbags who Disliked this Masterpeice of Areonautical Engineering,

    MAY YOU BE ETERNALLY CURSED!!

  • Funny looking plane.

  • @LordDonutz Maybe, But a Very Successful One that Served with the R.A.F. For many Years in a Wide Range of Role's & Should have been Kept on longer Given

She was a Fantastic Mid-Air Refueling Tanker (One that Could Refuel Three Tornado's at Once & Unlike the Yankee's old Tubs was Far Faster & Safer in Getting the Job Done [She Did Also Refuel USAF Planes on occasion too]).

After-all People weren't Sure what to make of the "AVRO Vulcan" either at Her Unveiling But She is Much Adored Today .

  • @xh558able what ahahhahahahah.

  • Bravo.

  • it actaully lifted up by accdient and then landed back down on the grass hopfully managed too stop in time

  • Brilliant video.

  • thats an ugly motherfucker..

  • @hotdude23 In Your Own Head Maybe,

Now the B-52, That's Both Ugly & Ungainly (Last Time I Checked that qualifyed

    as Worse)

Beside's There have been More B-52 Shot Down & Crashed than All

British Post WWII Military Aircraft Losses Combined, (Plus Seeing all those

Redundent & Obsolete old Tubs Being Scrapped in Full View of British & Soviet SatIlite's in the 1990's was Very Enjoyable even when your Very Young at the Time & Don't Even Know What A B-52 is.) L.O.L.

  • looks like an alien plane! so strange!

  • ++++++++++++9999999999999999999999999999999999999999

  • teasin video indeed; it sucks.

  • One hell of a machine !

  • Dunno about Teasin' Tina, more like Teasin' video!

  • flight?

  • strange machine... but beautyfull

looks like a videogame spaceship, of halo3 or something

  • @Speedless73

I'm reading a book ATM 'vulcan 607' and apparantly the victor was styled on 1950's flash gordon.

  • amazing.

    now where you say it...

  • @Speedless73 And this went to the skies in 1958.

  • Misleading Viewers.

  • muppets - great footage of a stationary plane revving its engine - missed the flight bit off!

  • where's the 'flight' bit?? 1 star

  • Correction....... Second to last flight.......

  • NO LAST FLIGHT........

  • Would it not be possible for the CAA nto grant some sort of 'Emergency Use' cert for airworthiness?

I'd imagine that to keep her in great shape for ground running, all of the Powered surfaces would have to be working.

    Fantastic watching it though!!

  • Laughable ideas, I'm afraid.

Taxiable and Airworthy are worlds apart, well as for the Vulcan, 9 years and £7 Million apart - the CAA will not allow for anything in-between.

  • You can fly on "A" conditions for one off flights, but to get this beast back in the air i think she would need a complete overhaul/ stripdown etc. If i had the money id get her going again!!

  • June 93, I had a long flight in one of these with 55 Sqn!

  • Comment removed

  • Last flight !! last moments on tarmac .What a waste of time .

  • Hey you cut off before it go into the sky.

Did you stop the camera recording and miss the best part!

  • You might as well put unedited footage on .The pilot has requested to see it on the Pprune aircraft forum.

  • I doubt this guy would have it. hes stood on the wrong side of the canberra to catch the moment.

If you check flypast though another video has been released elsewhere.

  • I have to admit, good footage, shame the canberra was in the way of the all important moment ;)
