1 in the RENDERING OPTIONS you can control de high res or the low res, of course if you have a great video card

2 i´m not using any joystick.

ok first of all, you need to buy the game, X PLANE V9 contains 60GB of scenery, and is very easy to install on a MAC,just play the installation CD, but if you dont want to buy the game right now, you can download the DEMO, just search in google X PLANE, and you can play in the limited scenery, i recomend to you buy the game in just 40USD for MAC at AMAZON.
