@donredguitar mostly Waters though. Waters Deserves most credit anyway, he came up with the song, the lyrics and the basic chords. Gilmour came up with the solo(s) which are undoubtable very great, but still, no great solos without a great song. Also my point was that "BrokenChair88" made a very non specific comment, and incredibly stupid, it's totally out of context, and anyone familiar with Atom Heart Mother knows that Pink Floyd(mostly Waters though) wrote animals and therefor dogs.

@RealNazarene I am very familiar with "Fat Old Sun" Gilmour waned it to appear on "Echoes - the very best of Pink Floyd" But the other members voted it down. One of Gilmour's favourite songs.

Found it! September 16, 1970 at the Paris Theatre in London UK (or the Playhouse Theatre depending what book you read). This was the only time "If" was played live by Pink Floyd.

Hi, thanks for posting this excellent live recording of If. Do you know the year? The video says 1974 but the heading says 1979, it does sound like 1974 to me.

There are two reasons that I know that the title is a lie. For one thing, Roger Waters sounded like a stoned parrot in 1979.

La fecha esta mal...esta version fue grabada originalmente en vivo para la BBC Radio One en el Cinema Paris el 16 de Julio de 1970, en esa ocasion tocaron: "Embryo", "Fat Old Sun", "Green Is The Color", "Careful With That Axe, Eugene", "if", y cerraron con una version impresionante de "Atom Heart Mother" en la cual fueron acompañados con orquesta,coros y demas y fueron presentados en aquella ocasion por John Peel. :)

Totally right, only live version at my knowledge, exept one reherseals on an oil well record, but absolutely not live .
