Honestly, if you DONT KNOW ARABIC, don't go by yourself. Its just a hassle. Go with a group tour thing. If you know an egyptian who is willing to take you in, do so, but if not, its hard.
@JustAbe1020 I think it is not hard because every 2 egyptians, one of them can speak one or 2 languages. And the people are so helpful, you only need to ask them and do not be afraid.
@JustAbe1020 I told you that out of my privat experience, I speak English and German in addition to Arabic. I learned also French and Italian. Each one of my family speackes english and some of them also french. May be in different levels but they try at least. Anyway, we are sorry if you met some hardness in Egypt. we would like that this problem would disappear in your next visit :)
@nhnp2828 Don't be sorry! But in reality, I mean, people don't really speak english. Like, for example, even in the nice hotels in sharm el sheikh, they speak......not good english. It's alright. But you, you are one of a kind! I mean, I don't think many Egyptians speak those languages but you do! I am glad for you! I loved Egypt no matter the problems. Such kind people and loved the food and culture! I am going back this summer! haha!
I lived in Egypt all my life. You get a real taste of reality and culture there. Def a place of beauty, but also a place of hardship. Totally recommend you all to visit. Such an amazing place. I miss it <3
actually, Egypt is taking the hardest way up and needs support and compassion from all over the world.. besides, Egypt is a worth-to-go country as it has the best monuments, temples, shores, coral reefs, desert, and most important it has the kindest people you may ever see
you can snorkel, do safari, see temples, Giza pyramids and sphinx and a lot of things you -very cheaply- enjoy in Egypt (ask the Russians).
