@22cevans Unfortunately I made the mod myself, so I don't think it exists elsewhere, and I lost the mod for it.. :( If the original mirror doesn't work, then I can try and redownload and remod it, but that would take time and patience that I don't currently have right now.

I believe the Treaty of Algeron states that the Federation are not allowed to create their own cloaking device or something. The one on the Defiant was provided by the Romulans themselves.

No, the treaty said not outside of the Gamma Quadrant.

Can you clarify? I know the Defiant was allowed to use the cloaking device within the Gamma Quadrant, but I don't believe the treaty said anything about the Gamma quadrant (since it wasn't discovered yet).

I do think that the treaty said the Defiant was allowed use of the cloaking device as long as it was not outside of the Gamma Quadrant.

Yes, but the cloaking device on the Defiant was made by Romulans and not the Federation. Adding the clause that it's only allowed to be used in the Gamma quadrant, the treaty of algeron was not violated simply by the Defiant being able to cloak.

By obsessively, you mean remembering a few details? The treaty was referred to in several episodes, so it's not that much of a stretch to remember it. It's like not remembering the Hirogen in Voyager.

much better i reckon!! with ablative armour, bigger crew, better weapons (speices like the malon wouldn't have stood a chance!)it would have been awesome!!!

i think the the ablative strips were down the (fan shaped areas) on the saucer section! but even without it, it would still be awesome.

ablative Armour was brought back to the federation by Voyager so the Enterprise E wouldn't have it if i had landed on Voyagers spot. any way she would have had a much easier time there. it shielding and weapon are way better that voyagers. also thanks to the bigger ship and designed destination as exploder she has more places to relax more holodecks. bigger quaters.

but the major point is she didn't excist at that time she went into service a few months later at least.

can someone tell me, if its possible for a defiante ship beat a borg tactical cube in this game? because i think the guy i played use a cheat and killed me in two streams of its phasers. if anyone knows, can they send me an email if its possible

Unless the Defiant ship he was using was seriously pimped out, it isn't possible for one defiant to kill a tactical cube in two phaser blasts.

Yup, it's pretty easy to sift through it, and add the line of text to allow a cloaking device for this ship. I'll post the name of the file I opened, and the ship's config file.
