I don't understand the BAD music comments. Actually, this music is very fitting for this video, as Gustav Holst intended to bring about imagry of jupiter with it. The recording could be a better quality, though. Get real people, I suppose ten years from now Beethoven will be bad music, and Mozart is a hack, and Tchaikovsky knows nothing of ballet, ballet WHAT'S THAT? I don't know, something old and not related to my iphone, or what is on Jersey shore... Sigh.
isn't the music by gustav holst? It is I think from his "planets" and this must be "Jupiter". This is much better and more appropriate than pink floyd

@n8ames This is for wind band, an arrangement of jupiter that doesnt require a string section. they assign those missing string parts to instruments like the clarinet to make it still jupiter.

Haaaa! You're funny. It's true. Jupiter is mind-bendingly big. You could fit 3 Earths into that one storm on Jupiter. A storm that rages for 300 years! Awesome! Seriously, we may be a twerp compared to the Big J, but we do have a beautiful planet, teaming with life. I'm talking about plants and animals like flowers and dolphins and the like. The people? Well, there are some days when I can live without the people. Some days, it just seems like all they do is argue with each other.

thanks to spectrometry. the light of the planet passes through the spectrometer where is analized and where is possible identify the chemical compound of the jupiter's atmosphere as lines in the spectrum. every line correspond to a specific element or compound such as ammonia, oxygen etc... anyway the big planet have been explored by probes during last decades: for examples the twin voyager probes, the probe pioneer 10 and galileo (the last one) crushed into the planet on 2003
Astronauts can perform spectrographic analysis of the light reflected from Jupiter. Each element emits light of a different wavelength, so they can analyze the wavelengths of light to determine the elements making up the atmosphere. Also, the blue spots on Juputer's surface are probably due to electromagnetic interference, not water.
It would be almost impossible to setup an apparatus as the pressure of the atmosphere would crush anything, plus, most of jupiter is hydrogen and helium. Also, the winds are over 100 m/s. A windmill would be crushed like a pancake and then tossed around the planet.
I know that we won't be making contact with any other intelligent life anytime soon, or even ever, but it was just a silly comment. And, if we did meet an alien race, it doesn't matter if we're compatible if ya know what I mean :)

@bullwwuk theres a way you can get around that now.. idk how but ive seen a few vids that have done it. its legit try and find out,, ,seriosuly this reminds me of like... those old cartoons we used to watch..
Do you want to know why? Because of the movie 2010. Where it really did implode and thus create a star. But it's completely and utterly impossible since Jupiter doesn't have enough mass. It doesn't even have enough mass to form a brown dwarf, which is a globe of collapsed dust. Does this answer your question? :D
jupiter will not become a sun, as it is already a failed star, it can no longer increase its mass, because there is not enough pressure to create nuclear fusion, and if it did become a star the worst case scenario is that life on earth world perish
I have bad news for the idiot who gave me a minus 3. LOL, now if it's a he, he'll become dickless. On the other hand, if it's a she, she'll grow a 3 inches dick. Either way, kiss my white ass.

So it's a little unclear.

Well, most kids know this stuff works these days, because they are gamers. The fact that it was used in a commercial says a lot about its "depth".
It's not the best version of "Jupiter" that's out there. But "Jupiter" is a pretty major piece of music - and the tune starting at 3:38 was adapted into a major patriotic hymn, "I Vow to Thee, My Country", which is up there with "Jerusalem" in importance in the UK.
men 20012 is supposed to be a Maya prediction is it not ?? well those guys use to know one or two thing about the universe so i'll wait for something cool to happen
It's a shame that retards and mental patients ruin science videos/astronomy videos with their moronic comments about "aliens" or "niburu schmiburu" or "doomsday 2012,12002 or what ever crap they come up with..! Go back to your mental hospitals and stay away from YouTube, fucktards! Great video, by the way. :)
why should other ppl have less chance to say what they have to say? Just cuz someones opinion is different than yours, doesnt make it wrong. Also, they do have some interesting facts....you should open your mind to new things etc. Very self limiting perception that you have.
So, there is no possibility of life on Jupiter...not even in subterranian(?) bases? The moons are not gaseous in nature, are they? One source claims that Nibiru is really Jupiter...and not a newly photographed planet with a 3,600 year orbit. Could Nibiru and Jupiter be the same planet? By the way...is 2012 significant...or just more of the same mayhem and discord? Sorry for being so negative!
kilomeister: That's actually pretty funny! But I suspect that you got a kilo of the wrong-stuff, meister. By the way, could Europa actually be the fabled Nibiru? Could the object on the outskirts of our solar system really be a non-starter? Could December 21, 2012 be the date of some sort of cosmic 'Final Judgment' by the universal powers that be regarding earth, it's inhabitants, and it's future? Will the 'bad-guys' of earth be sent to Nibiru/Europa? Just wondering and speculating.
fantastic, a cult. i'm already in/on europa. i moan 24-7 and argued with a police officer once . so you're right. europa is hellish. never been to nibiru.
Heh you know, I wonder, if you were gigantic and had a hand the size of jupiter, if you were to sort of wave your hand and smack it, if it would break it up and destroy it and make the gas molecules move through space.
They should call this "good morning Jupiter" lol I would love to be on Europa (in a radiation shielded suit of course) and watch Jupiter rise in the sky. How utterly humbling it must be, your jaw would lock open.

kylebstiff 3 years ago
It's not the best version of "Jupiter" that's out there. But "Jupiter" is a pretty major piece of music - and the tune starting at 3:38 was adapted into a major patriotic hymn, "I Vow to Thee, My Country", which is up there with "Jerusalem" in importance in the UK.

You know what's cool about the gas planets?
You can't stand on them because if you did you'd fall to the center and be crushed by the pressure.
ClicheJohnson 3 years ago 3

Just wondering and speculating.
redletterchurch 3 years ago
fantastic, a cult. i'm already in/on europa. i moan 24-7 and argued with a police officer once . so you're right. europa is hellish. never been to nibiru.
kilomeister 3 years ago
kilomeister: 'Never Been to Nibiru' sounds like a punk-rock group. They should send the band on this video to Nibiru.
redletterchurch 3 years ago
Heh you know, I wonder, if you were gigantic and had a hand the size of jupiter, if you were to sort of wave your hand and smack it, if it would break it up and destroy it and make the gas molecules move through space.

They should call this "good morning Jupiter" lol I would love to be on Europa (in a radiation shielded suit of course) and watch Jupiter rise in the sky. How utterly humbling it must be, your jaw would lock open.
