  • Fake like all nasa videos and pics.

  • 6 and a half minutes of an animated rotating jupiter?

  • FOR ASTONISHING FACTS ABOUT THE UNIVERSE, JUST TYPE IN THE BOX:

    Quran and science

    SEVEN PARTS!

  • Jupiter; so mysterious yet so huge in size, so faded away jet so powerfull... Jupiter, will you be my wife?

  • I don't understand the BAD music comments. Actually, this music is very fitting for this video, as Gustav Holst intended to bring about imagry of jupiter with it. The recording could be a better quality, though. Get real people, I suppose ten years from now Beethoven will be bad music, and Mozart is a hack, and Tchaikovsky knows nothing of ballet, ballet WHAT'S THAT? I don't know, something old and not related to my iphone, or what is on Jersey shore... Sigh.

  • What's the point of this video? A rotating planet + bad music background = boring, unworthy of time to spend for.

  • Holst - Jupiter 3:37 always gives me chills. Awesome video, thank you for posing.

  • If it wasn't for this great planet, Complex life would never of had the chance to develop. There would be far more extinction level impacts.

  • What better musical accompaniment than Holst's "Jupiter: The Bringer of Jollity"?

  • isn't the music by gustav holst? It is I think from his "planets" and this must be "Jupiter". This is much better and more appropriate than pink floyd

  • is every1 fuckin retarded including me?

  • @MrHeadlessmusician hahahahahaha

  • i fuckin love jupiter and neptune soooo much!!!

  • Where the hell are the strings.

  • @n8ames This is for wind band, an arrangement of jupiter that doesnt require a string section. they assign those missing string parts to instruments like the clarinet to make it still jupiter.

  • @Timstama Yeah, I know XD I dunno if I like it as much, though :c

  • @n8ames Yeah this versions no where near as good imo

  • I like Jupiter

  • Shame, the big red spot was in the dark.

  • Space travel through the red hole shark of the planet jupiter will occur after civilizing the planet mars... The red spot instead of black hole its red, its not very dangerous compare into black hole too many secrets shall revealed.. directly into our solar system.. a saturn planet has its own secret compare to planet jupiter history lies within

  • lol this is not real footage

  • That's our friend! :3

  • Jupiter is the Home Of Zeus

  • i think we would

  • soo this is the sound of jupiter ? :P very interesting.

  • Yonotto this is called classical musical. It's very complex and your little brain could never begin to understand it. Don't ever use the word faggotted again you stupid cunt!

  • you should try a hot pleidian ofc the only disadvance is that she knows your thoughts all the time, maybe in your case it wouldn´t be that bad...

  • copy and paste

    2. send this to 2 other videos.

    3. hold your breath for 10 seconds.

    4. press refresh twice.

    3. LOOK AT YOUR HAND

  • HAHA the music is sooo faggoted.

This is why pensioners shud stay off Youtube.

  • @YonOtto be quiet this is one of the greatest pieces ever written

  • Of course they will want to have sex with us. Especially Americans. We invented Rock and Roll. That's the reason they came here in the first place.

  • fuck you jupiter earth owns no matter how big and windy you are

  • jupiter is a hell

  • Nice. Very cool.

  • Hes the king of planets...makes us look...well....kinda shitty :)

  • Haaaa! You're funny. It's true. Jupiter is mind-bendingly big. You could fit 3 Earths into that one storm on Jupiter. A storm that rages for 300 years! Awesome! Seriously, we may be a twerp compared to the Big J, but we do have a beautiful planet, teaming with life. I'm talking about plants and animals like flowers and dolphins and the like. The people? Well, there are some days when I can live without the people. Some days, it just seems like all they do is argue with each other.

  • Epic Planet.

    ;D

  • Dear Jupiter,

Thanks for not tossing ALL the terrestrial planets out of the solar system when your big fat self formed. At least we still have 4 rocky planets...

Also, thank you for not acreting enough mass to become a brown dwarf. Although it would be nice if Earth were kind of warmer.

    Sincerely,

    Xzeleous

  • yes tests all sorts of experiments yet we cant realize we are just an illusion in time we are slaves to the rothschilds in our short existence bring out the spelling nazis enjoy nature solitude my advice ishould take it lol sounds like good therepy for my insanity and alcoholism

  • how do they know the planet is made of.(hydrogen and helium)ect,:P

well have they went there to find out?..what if it's just dust from the planet?..

well they should send a prob there and find out for f**k sakes...

and u can see clear spot's around the band's of (hydrogen and helium)etc..blue spot's which look like water..

  • @BaByDuCk71

thanks to spectrometry. the light of the planet passes through the spectrometer where is analized and where is possible identify the chemical compound of the jupiter's atmosphere as lines in the spectrum. every line correspond to a specific element or compound such as ammonia, oxygen etc... anyway the big planet have been explored by probes during last decades: for examples the twin voyager probes, the probe pioneer 10 and galileo (the last one) crushed into the planet on 2003

  • Astronauts can perform spectrographic analysis of the light reflected from Jupiter. Each element emits light of a different wavelength, so they can analyze the wavelengths of light to determine the elements making up the atmosphere. Also, the blue spots on Juputer's surface are probably due to electromagnetic interference, not water.

  • dude they have sent lots of probes

  • lol its not telsa...its tesla... hehe haha

  • scientists geeve

  • It would be almost impossible to setup an apparatus as the pressure of the atmosphere would crush anything, plus, most of jupiter is hydrogen and helium. Also, the winds are over 100 m/s. A windmill would be crushed like a pancake and then tossed around the planet.

  • the movement is as slow as the clouds:D

  • I doubt we would be compatible if we met any alien life form, which I don't think is likely to happen any time soon either, space is just too big

  • I know that we won't be making contact with any other intelligent life anytime soon, or even ever, but it was just a silly comment. And, if we did meet an alien race, it doesn't matter if we're compatible if ya know what I mean :)

  • i bet we could find life forms in the future. when technology will be advaced that we can travel farther into space at amazing speeds. and who knows maybe we will make allies with them

  • @bullwwuk Well, people mate with horses and what not, so perhaps fucking an alien will be...out of space, LOL XD

  • Great footage but the music is terrible,

try pink floyd for this stuff.

  • I'd love to, but if I use copyright music my video will get pulled off YouTube, I only use music that isn't copyright or if I have the authors permission

  • @bullwwuk theres a way you can get around that now.. idk how but ive seen a few vids that have done it. its legit try and find out,, ,seriosuly this reminds me of like... those old cartoons we used to watch..

  • @bullwwuk That's not true...

how come there are Pink Floyd tracks on YTube then ?

ByTheWay....thumbs up please ,who think the "new"YouTube SUCKS.

  • agreed

  • @trendyjon Is there a more appropriate sound track? This is Jupiter by Holtz... Dude this piece is about Jupiter...

  • @trendyjon ARE YOU INSANE!!!! THIS PIECE IS AMAZING!!!!!

  • @trendyjon The music's amazing, your terrible.

  • @trendyjon I FUCKING LOVE PINK FLOYD!!! Rock on, man.

  • Most ppl belive that jupiter will become a Sun but why? One thing is for sure, something is going to happen to Jupiter!

  • Do you want to know why? Because of the movie 2010. Where it really did implode and thus create a star. But it's completely and utterly impossible since Jupiter doesn't have enough mass. It doesn't even have enough mass to form a brown dwarf, which is a globe of collapsed dust. Does this answer your question? :D

  • why is that for sure? jupiter won't turn into a sun

  • To a Sun no. But the Planet is EXTREMELY interesting :D

  • that it is for sure

  • jupiter will not become a sun, as it is already a failed star, it can no longer increase its mass, because there is not enough pressure to create nuclear fusion, and if it did become a star the worst case scenario is that life on earth world perish

  • Dear Jupiter

Thanks for taking one for the team the other day.

    your a good friend.

  • LOL, aint that the truth

  • what happen the other day . did Jupiter get hit again.

  • @Lugarurmsr

    Lol...How bout it.

  • Jupiter Looks like a big marble (Smile)

  • My dear Jupiter,

You look like layers of sand. Beautiful.

    -tenzin

  • nothing if is not dead by that time it.

  • Not going to happen. It doesn't nearly have the mass.

  • Now, in order to give me a + 10 you have to suck my dick and for a 20 +, your own.

  • its "the planets" by gustav holst not "jupiter"by gustav holst

  • this video was made with Celestia. Just simply remove the verbosity and press

F10, then is recorded as an AVI file

  • This is not Celestia, it is NASA World Wind, both programs use similar imagery for the planets, but they are very different, in NASA World Wind a plug-in is used to capture png images, which can then be combined to make an avi file.

  • what's with the music realy?

  • jopetir

  • is this the real footage?

  • "is this the real footage? "

Is this real footage of Jupiter? No.

    Read the description, dude.

  • I think it was a fair question. I didn't know what World Wind is and after viewing the site on it I'd say it's still unclear.

It looks like from the site it's a "google earth" type thing except for celestial objects as well, but wouldn't how they generate that be based on photographs or imagery obtained from the real thing?

    So it's a little unclear.

Cool video though. Holst is my favorite composer from the late romantic period and Jupiter is my favorite planet.

  • "after viewing the site on it I'd say it's still unclear"

Well, most kids know this stuff works these days, because they are gamers. Of course it's "based on photographs", but this is not a video of Jupiter, this is a 3D sphere which is textured with a bitmap of Jupiter's clouds and rendered in a computer program: World Wind 1.4, as it says in the description. I thought it was pretty obvious, given that it was mentioned "showing off the new sun shading", which is a rendering improvement.

  • "wind" lol

  • Wolfgang Vock

  • I fuckin love Jupiter.

  • pervert...

  • I fuckin love Uranus!

  • You love myanus?

  • Not a very good recording. I have heard much better versions on youtube. 2/5.

  • The problem is I am not a musician and I'm sure a lot of the other versions on YouTube are copyrighted, I have a good quality cd version myself but won't use it as I don't want my video blocked.

  • 3:40 wtf its Bathory - hammerheart song

  • cool video 5/5 XD

  • wow.....

  • this sucks

  • can anyone explain why are planets perfectly round wouldn't they be all different shapes shouldn't be random sizes and shapes

  • Hi. For almost the same reason drops coming out of a faucet are round. Drops are round because water attracts itself and it does so evenly in all directions which results in a round drop. Planets, because gravity does the same thing to matter in general. The more massive an object is, the more gravity it has, and therefore the rounder it is. Which is why asteroids may not be round. Not enough gravity to round it all out. Happy day to you.

  • yep gravity hes right but on what hes talking about the drops is wrong from the tap to the sink there be roundish. a rain drop isnt round.

  • A nice experiment. Go to a roof top and spill a large glass of water and watch it go down. After about 25 feet the wind reisitance breaks the big blob of water very suddenly into thousands of smaller drops. Fun for no particular reason. Id have trouble measuring the shape of each drop without a camera. But wind resistance etc plays games with the shape of the drops. Have fun

  • how to turn a 3d

  • Whats up with the 50's peppy, go-lucky music LOL.

  • It's "Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity" by Holst. Like a lot of classical music, it's pretty gay. But Holst also did Mars, Bringer of War and Neptune, Bringer of Dreams, both of which are awesome and not in the least bit gay.

    I really hate this song.

  • neptune isn't "bringer of dreams" it's "the mystic."

also, whether you hate it or not, the music is genius and timeless. Pretty immature/ignorant to call it "gay"

  • I disagree. I think a lot of times we give "classical" music a "Get Out of Being Criticized Free" Card when it's not always deserved. There's a lot more emotional weight in Mars and Neptune (thanks for the correction by the way) and Saturn... I mean, compare the longing in Venus compared to... actually, I have no idea what emotion is being conveyed in Jupiter. In fact, I think "gayness" is really the only way to describe it. The fact that it was used in a commercial says a lot about its "depth".

  • It's not the best version of "Jupiter" that's out there. But "Jupiter" is a pretty major piece of music - and the tune starting at 3:38 was adapted into a major patriotic hymn, "I Vow to Thee, My Country", which is up there with "Jerusalem" in importance in the UK.

  • I don't know what any of those songs are - thanks, I'll check them out!

  • Nasa World Wind far superior to shitty Google Earth

  • agreed

  • Where's the great red spot?

  • you can see it from 0:00 to 0:22

  • I don't see anywhere =.=

  • it's in the lower right area :D

  • men 20012 is supposed to be a Maya prediction is it not ?? well those guys use to know one or two thing about the universe so i'll wait for something cool to happen

  • just the calendar of the maya ends

what will happen is in the stars

our calendar is very wrong therefor 2012 is just fantasy number and wrong calculation

  • aye thats pretty good!

  • It's a shame that retards and mental patients ruin science videos/astronomy videos with their moronic comments about "aliens" or "niburu schmiburu" or "doomsday 2012,12002 or what ever crap they come up with..! Go back to your mental hospitals and stay away from YouTube, fucktards! Great video, by the way. :)

  • why should other ppl have less chance to say what they have to say? Just cuz someones opinion is different than yours, doesnt make it wrong. Also, they do have some interesting facts....you should open your mind to new things etc. Very self limiting perception that you have.

  • i agree with u 100%

  • ...behind it in the distance...

  • ppfffaaahahahahahaha!

  • would breathing in jupiter's deadly fumes cause a painfull or painless death?

  • dude thats a very good question i want to know now.

  • or would it give you badass superpowers?

  • lol yea, you would turn into jupiter man.

  • haha yeah. Shoot out lightning from your palms, breathe deadly gas, and things can orbit you! that'd be sick!

  • You know what's cool about the gas planets?

You can't stand on them because if you did you'd fall to the center and be crushed by the pressure.

  • So, there is no possibility of life on Jupiter...not even in subterranian(?) bases? The moons are not gaseous in nature, are they? One source claims that Nibiru is really Jupiter...and not a newly photographed planet with a 3,600 year orbit. Could Nibiru and Jupiter be the same planet? By the way...is 2012 significant...or just more of the same mayhem and discord? Sorry for being so negative!

  • redneckchurch

  • kilomeister: That's actually pretty funny! But I suspect that you got a kilo of the wrong-stuff, meister. By the way, could Europa actually be the fabled Nibiru? Could the object on the outskirts of our solar system really be a non-starter? Could December 21, 2012 be the date of some sort of cosmic 'Final Judgment' by the universal powers that be regarding earth, it's inhabitants, and it's future? Will the 'bad-guys' of earth be sent to Nibiru/Europa? Just wondering and speculating.

  • fantastic, a cult. i'm already in/on europa. i moan 24-7 and argued with a police officer once . so you're right. europa is hellish. never been to nibiru.

  • kilomeister: 'Never Been to Nibiru' sounds like a punk-rock group. They should send the band on this video to Nibiru.

  • Heh you know, I wonder, if you were gigantic and had a hand the size of jupiter, if you were to sort of wave your hand and smack it, if it would break it up and destroy it and make the gas molecules move through space.

  • my favorite planet is jupiter

  • Lol the music is a wind band, it's supose to be a symfonie orchestra. And it's not very niceley played either...

  • Well I only use music that is in the public domain or I have been given the rights to use,I wish there was more free classical music but there isn't.

  • where are the moons???? And the stars are moving around!

  • Does anyone know about the music on this movie ?

  • 'The Planets' by Holst

  • Jupiter, The Bringer of Jollity

  • same picture theve been showing since the invetion of color pictures.if this is jupitor absolutly nothing changes on it

  • what this is sick i love it its so cool :O

  • nice

  • awesome

  • ladies & gentlemen here's our weather report by Jupy TV

  • what's that start broadcasting from Jupy TV?

  • fake

  • "fake"

It says so in the description.

  • I have worldwind from NASA its funny Im from Mexico

  • Beautiful! Is this the "10hr"'s elapse video? Thanks!

  • there's one more thing missing... oh yeah, the amosphere's movement(sorry for my spelling i was kinda dizzy righting this comment down)

  • Yeah, there was an add-on for the animated spot I think, it was pretty low resolution though if I remember correctly.

  • jupiters shit

  • this is verry documental film

  • are you serious a quarter million people on this page just to listen to the music and watch a planet go round and round?

  • And to think you were one of them makes you feel even more pathetic, doesn't it?

  • They should call this "good morning Jupiter" lol I would love to be on Europa (in a radiation shielded suit of course) and watch Jupiter rise in the sky. How utterly humbling it must be, your jaw would lock open.

  • the mere human glance would not be able to cover the entire planet, it's way too immense
