based on my experience, everything here is an accurate representation of Jamaica. Of course, if the aim of the documentary were to promote Jamaica, the parts that point to what is wrong in Jamaica should be removed. However, if the aim is to depict reality, then this documentary achieves it's purpose. Yeh mi know seh wi no waan di whole worl fi know wi bizniz but wi haffi confront reality: anno evryting right wid jamaica.

@str8OuttaNaptown30 i'd say the reason jamaicans, and black people all around run so fast is the genetics combined with the healthy culture and diet. blacks all around have this talent, but many can't make it to the Olympics cos the majority of them are poor. if the majority of blacks weren't struck in poverty, holy shit, i think we wouldn't see a single white in the olympics. proud to be black ;D

your nationality is where you were born. your culture comes from your family's background. Americans are born in america. jamaicans are born in jamaica. an American can have jamaican culture but that doesn't make you jamaican obviously.

You shot yourself in the foot with the Kathy Lee Gifford analogy. because her father is 100% American making her only half french. and yes her not being able to speak french certainly doesnt make her french and most importantly she doesnt claim to be.
A jamaican, born of jamaican parents in any country will very likely be considered jamaican, especially if he/she lives the culture and understands patois. which isnt even the same as only being half french and not knowing the language.

First, you're not Jamaican. Your relatives are. You are English regardless of whatever racist classification your fellow countrymen choose to put you in. England is a country. Citizens of that country are English.
Kathy Lee's parents are american but she was actually born in France. Unlike you. If I understand French does that make me French? Why do you think understanding patois makes you Jamaican?

Kathy Lee does not consider herself to be French and she doesnt have any french ancestors nor does she speak French. Thats was a dumb anology to bring up. It only shows that her being born in another country didnt take away the fact that her Heritage was far more important than the geographical region she was born in.

I have to agree with afrasianbeauty these journalists are taking us for a fool for real. Most of this video was shot in my Parish Portland, one of the most peaceful Parish in Jamaica. They have two homeless persons on the video giving comments which i think is an insult to Jamaicans intelligence.

When the flag was created, the black meant the hardship that Jamaica has endured, I don't know what they're teaching the children now, maybe that little girl just made that up. It really bothers me to see how the history of Ja is not down to the children factually
