  • DADDAD is correct for the tuning. You guys sounded great!

  • Very good you guys nailed it. Greetings from Indianapolis In. I added you to my favorites. Keeping singing & sharing with the world.

  • You could do DADDAD and use a capo for EBEEBE. I figure tuned lower would be easier to sing for the guys. An older Steven Stills stretches for the notes in DADDAD. I always check my tuning with the recording. I did try EEEEBE, and not EBEEBE. Maybe that is where I went wrong. I fianally understand. Again what you have posted makes sense at 1 step higher. There is nothing wrong with your performance or tuning. I still think it is a wonderful perfromance. Peace

  • I will add that DADDAD will also cover 4+20 Years Ago. I think it is good that you can play Suite Judy in this tunning and it does sound good. But I think you should give Labeak a try. Subscribe and find Suite Judy Blue Eyes. He has 50 songs posted. Look where it says 2 years ago and you wll see Suite Judy. I think I am right on this. Would like to hear your thoughts about the tunning. Later compare this tunning with the live CSN recording of Suite J B E.

  • @chest002 : Thanks. I used DADDAD on this version or maybe EBEEBE which is the same. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check out your man.

  • Hey guys, I hate disagree with your tuning on this great song. I would like for you to compare your tunning with this guy on Youtube. Search this guy on youtube... Labeak. The EEEEBE just will not match with the CSN recording. Listen when Steven Stills hits the low D string and compare. Labeak teaches a very good lesson on this tune. What you have does seem to work. Give this guy a chance and you will see. Then compare DADDAD tunning to Stills guitar live on youtube. DADDAD also for Carry On.

  • Yeah... suis a chaque fois de plus en plus fan..

  • Hey, didn't know you were on at ths very moment. Do check out privettricker. Just put in search on youtube. Click on his name and subscibe. You will not be sorry. I learned a couple of tunes from him really quick. Particularly "Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress" by the Hollies. He covers Zeppelin, Neil young, Beatles, Dave mathews. He has maybe 500 posts. Great guy to study. My birthday is April 11, 1957. A great time to be born.

  • @chest002 Just searched for privettricket and found it. Nice channel I will subscribe. Search for Ssensual2 and you'l find out more :) Bytheway I'm from August 19th, so my birthday will be next thursday. Enjoy Jan

  • Sorry, can not post links on youtube. Search for privettricker on youtube. It was mis spelled in earlier post. Amsterdam rocks!!! Hope to visit your city some day. Keep on rockin.

  • Muy buen ambiente musical. Excelente guitarra !!

  • When I hear this song I still get mezmorized. Steven Stills was a musical genius and highly underated. When I finally learned to play this song myself with the aid of Youtube, and DADDAD tuning, it made me realize that these guys were cutting edge gutarists back in those times. They learned it from networking. People meeting people. Too bad it's not like that anymore. Great rendition of this song. Good work guys!!!

  • @chest002

Ofcourse it's a masterpiece of Stephen Stills. But if you want to play the song like the original, your guitartuning has to be EEEEBE.

  • @jgs1957 1957 ? That was my birth year. ha. Thank you for the tune tip. I will give it a go. I have also seen other artists cover this tune in EEEEBE. I will try to post a video reponce to someone who covers a lot of great songs from the 1970's. Subscribe to his Youtube (privattricker) and you will see he has many songs he has covered including Suite Judy Blue Eyes in EEEEBE. He is quite gifted.

  • @chest002 1957 is my birth year too. I'm not gonna tell you what date, maybe we're twins: Nice you wanna figure out Suite Judy Blue Eyes in de "E" setting. You'll like it i'm sure. If you wanna have some tabs let me know and give me your mailadres. I'll send them rightaway. Cheers!

  • The Yeehaw was annoyingly out of place but other than that it was pretty good, fun above all else.

  • I would give anything to witness this live! Amsterdam is a gorgeous place and i imagine seeing this rendition live... From a middle age Brazilian guy: Thanks!!!

  • As an old hippie who saw CSNY when they first started and later on, you folks do a great rendition. Harmonies are wonderful and the fun in your souls comes through.

  • Really just fantastic.

As a person whose family isn't quite so musically inclined (and that's putting it lightly), it's clear to see you all have something special going.

  • What a great pleasure to watch and listen to. Thanks.
