That's an extremely expensive way to clear IEDs & Mines from a road.

Maybe instead of grenades, you can launch a long pipe that sends out high pressure blasts of air along the line, to try to trigger IEDs.

Pipe won't be damage and can be reused as long as nothing is set off.

@jeffstudbum No, typically they would've already suppressed the enemy with small arms fire, and in order to displace a well dug-in enemy they would need to clear the obstacle first (obstacles that might be placed in order to funnel attackers into prepared ambush/IED zones)
