for some reason, when i tried it, it just came up with a screen that said apple mac os, disk mode, sleep mode. the only way i can fix it is by restoring the ipod. can you help?

Hi, make sure in the firmware that the background picture is in the correct place, if that doesnt work then you may have the wrong firmware file

ok, when i try to write to my ipod, it says this: Error writing firmware! Code -1, 22, 13890048

Also in the "firmware information" the last line says its "read only" under "status"

i downloaded the 5.5g one and then when i load it all it says is loading ipodwizard screens and it doesnt do anything at all! it just says loading ipodwizard screens but it doesnt do anything! please help me

How long should it take to write to the iPod, the program seems to just hang, 99% CPU usage and then i just gave up and unplugged it...

Hi something seems to of gone wrong then.

Depending if its a whole theme, or just a background image it should take no more then 45 seconds.

ahh shit, yeah i don't think iPodWizard likes my iPod. thanks for the quick reply. i installed RockBox on my iPod last night, and just now removed it. it liked it, but it doesnt seem to sleep and turn off at the right times, causing a mass wastage of battery.

Ill try again with iPodWizard on another computer. im trying to make my 5.5G iPod have the Classic theme =/

Soz my pc has been being gay! na im still on XP :D and ive got 2GB of ram, sooo it does sound like somethings not working right. ive still got to test it on another PC.

it should usually take around 4 seconds
