@starguard thanks starguard, I just sold them to my train obsessed neighbor about 3 weeks ago. I know I will regret it later but I sold the whole box for $20 in order to be neighborly. He already restored the 1120 and it looks pretty good. I like trains but not a collector

I had a Marx train set inherited from my Dad which would have meant it was bought in the 1930s It was O guage and was not very realistic It had only passenger cars

@grizzleybearz282004 yes they can I used to have Santa Fe AF passengers cars with the the deisal engine and two more cars that were made to look like three deisals two with a streamline front and one flat on both ends as for the passenger cars themselves one had raised viewing area and one was rounded at the end meant to be the last car and two passenger cars with lighting and black outlines of passengers I liked to run them with the New York Central coal locomotive I also had a 3rd deisal

@elamite66 YA THATS COOL I LIKE NYC ENGINES TOO I JUST PICKED UP A POSTWAR LIONEL SET #2229W WITH #2354 NYC AA F-3s FROM 1954 AND THAY ONLY CAME WITH FREIGHT CARS BUT THAY REALY WOULD LOOK SWEET WITH NICE A MACTHING SET OF NYC PASSENGER CARS SO SINCE LIONEL NEVER MADE ANY IN THE POSTWAR LATER ON IM JUST GOING PICK UP A MACTHING COLOR SET OF NYC PASSENGER CARS MAYBE 4 TO 6 CARS IL RUN BUT IL GET THEM FROM MTH OR WILLIAMS ALOT CHEAPER NO SENSE PAYING LIONEL PRICES UNLESS I FIND A NICE USE SET

this marx 666 train made from 1949-1953 wasThe first diecast locomotive made by Marx also used in the moive called sometimes thay comeback! great movie you will see it when thay move in the new houes the kid finds the trian to show his dad theres a guy on youtube that has one and made a custom smoke unit for it you should see it

My 14 yr old daughter found Daddy a nice prize ,when she took out the trash.A 1666 Marx Grey engine and tender plus 4 cars, and a ZW transformer and some track.All in the dumpster,all in good condition.I gave her $20.00 for ice cream.
