  • Mammy's the real star in the show. Eventhough she's a servant, she treats the white folks as equals.

  • I'm #12,000!

  • "I ain' never seed hair that color in my life. You know a dyed-haired woman?.." LOL

  • Scarlett is destitute: wearing a dress cut from her mother's velvet curtains so Rhett will not guess how hard up she is. When he refuses to lend her $300 to pay the taxes on Tara, she leaves him in a fit. When she runs into Frank Kennedy, running a general store in town, she makes a play for him by telling him a lie about her sister.

  • Look at the "cold shoulder" Scarlett gives Belle at 0:15, as if she's saying "don't even *think* of speaking to me!" Great subtle acting from Leigh.

  • You're so right. That was really good acting on Leigh's part. And the knowing smile Belle gives her (you can't see it here with the quality) is sublte on her part too!

  • Mammy ... "Who dat?" LOL!!! She's the best <3

  • @lLostTheGame: I know, right! "Who dat!" HA! She's so awesome!

  • i don't think she was completely lying...she believed belle could get the money for her if they actually were friends in a different world, oh and she knew she was the same as her

  • I like Scarlett, she's got a sharp wit about her and she does have a point, though rionically Belle Watling is kinder to Rhett than Scarlett ever was.
