  • Now I do! well, she is good, but not clear in bigining

  • Wow, I've never realy heard this kind of jazz, I'm used to quartets, sounds great

  • pure treasure - Julie London is one and only, in the real sense - and to think she's such a great writer, 'Cry me a river' is by far the best torch song there is...

  • Julie London is kind of an underestimated jewel, right ? I must say the more I listen to her I appreciate her more. She even tops Diana Krall in my jazz musicians chart.

  • am i the only one who noticed the typo in the title

  • love

  • before I 've lived San Francisco long long time ago I miss S,F

  • San Fransisco is Sydney's sister city.

I went there once. I felt like I was home in a foreign country. I miss it.

  • I really did leave me heart in San Francisco!

Can't wait to go back home!

  • Thanks for posting not only the song but the pictures too. I'm not even from San Francisco but I misted up. It's amazing the connection we as humans have to our home town. I'm from Portland, Oregon and it's alot like SF, but different in alot of ways. I <3 P-Town USA!!!

  • @MissMiasWorld Portland is nice. Not too big. Lots of rain, just like Seattle and Vancouver (Canada) Not on the ocean though

  • Tony Bennett, go home the gal has it all over you. afan

  • One of the best singer ever. Me ha gustado tan to que ahora desayuno todos los dias escuchandola. Su voz es maravillosa, es guapisima. Todos los comentarios que he leido se quedan cortos homenajeando a esta mujer. Las fotos son preciosas. Gracias por poner este video. Thankyou.

  • A classy rendition by a quietly sexy songbird. Ideal for listening to alone in the still of the night. Her caressing voice will make one smile.

    XARBRA MAIO 2009

  • what a voice! what a song! what a city!

  • well done.

  • san francisco... one of the moste beatiful cities in the world

  • Nice, plus beautiful shots of San Francisco. I was born and raised there.

  • ah... so.. relaxing and soft voice... Thanks!

  • Of course: JULIE (not Judy) WAS THE BEST! I wish we were able to edit our comments!

  • A correction: 24 March, 1954 Julie didn't sing at the 881 Club, but met Bobby Troup, and that changed her whole life. Judy was the best and never really wanted stardom! Family was #1 to her.Someting to think about...

  • A super rendition of this fine classic standard! Sorry to have missed Julie's birthday (26 Sep. 1926). Of peculiar interest (at least to me) is that Julie first found the nerve to get on stage at the 881 Club on La Brea on my birthday (24 March 1954)! She being my favorite singer, this has no little meaning! Plus San Francisco is my favorite city!

  • Julie London + San Francisco - My kind of duo!

  • Best version ever. Even better than Tony Bennett's. Julie was from Santa Rosa, which is quite near to San Francisco...

  • i didn't know that. i'm a bay area baby too.

  • Isn't it ironic? Julie London later played Dixie McCall on the show "Emergency!" Her two co-stars Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe played their "Emergency!" characters in "What's A Nice Girl Like You Doing...?" and "The Convention". Both TV movies took place in San Francisco.
