  • I dig your 'keeping it authentic' approach, but my Diddley Bow has fret marks in pencil and two strings with tuning pegs. It's got a resonator made out of a corned beef can (with the strings running through it) and a cheap Italian 60's guitar pickup as well as a piezo glued to the resonator. I also used a tuna can to house both output jacks. I used a peice of wood for a nut. I don't pick it, I bounce a pencil on the strings, sorta like those African kids do. My slide is an old, thick test tube.

  • Sounds badass. Post a video!

  • I just sold my last 2, so I've gotta make another one. I still can't get over those African kids, they're amazing. I wish they would tour over here. There's so much incredible in the world, but so many no-talents get alot of unworthy praise, attention and money. That's why I foam at the mouth about it, sorry I upset you with it. I really am impressed with your videos though, and very grateful for them.

  • Take a trip to Ghana or some indigenous part of African and get your mind blown!

I'm not at all upset, man. Everyone has the right to believe or dismiss anything.

    Thanks for the positive feedback!

  • @ironbuttermilk that's fairly similar to my own. i only use one string, but i do have tuning pegs and a piece of wood for a nut. as for a resonator, i don't use one. and i just na the jack to the side of the wood. it's unconcieled and has actually already broken. i used a pickup from a shitty first act too.
