the beats sound is really only good for rap/pop. which is fine because thats a lot of the music people listen to. BUT the bass is sooo heavy you cant watch videos, or listen to any other music without it sounding funny. thats why i prefer these. they can be used for anything. and beats are very limited.

these are hands down worst headphones I've ever owned. i had two pairs, i got my first pair for my birthday and the stalks broke within a matter of days. i got a second pair, and the same applies to them. only this time I chose to just tape them up and use them anyway. as time progressed, the other stalk broke, and they slowly disintegrated until i had to put duct tape on them to keep the structure. and then one of the speakers blew so i finally stopped using the shitty headphones.

lets all stop and think for a minute why beats are so expensive, 1. invented by Dr Dre and just the name adds around $100 2.some have subwoofers in them which is usually also quite expensive 3.the play/pause feature with the B button on the ear 4.the extra cord that apparently adjusts to the noise around you

if this is all that makes beats so great then the skullcrusher model headphones by skullcandy have the subwoofers, the style, the play/pause on the cord but lack the rich guy endorsement

the reason they have the detatchable cables is so that if it gets caught on something when you get up or are walking it pops out and you dont break the chord, beats by dre and other headphne companies do the same thing. The cables are the weakest part of the unit so why not offer them a little more protection, oh and demandmyrespect you have a newer hesh version, im willing to bet you also have a different bag from him. Just newer, thats it
