  • Its a very good, sometimes exposed ridge well worth a 3. But the holds and escape possibilitys are easy, so its not as hard as some. Cneifon, and Glogwen person are harder me thinks.

    Great film.

  • Oh...its just a 4mins 17secs it looks like the head of an axe on your sack. :) is a fine route I must say, have you tried Cnefion Arete in Ogwen Valley, N Wales?

  • I thinkit is just straps on the rucsack. Yes, we have done Cneifon Arete back in March 2007. It started raining part way up so become very slippery near the top. A great route though.

  • A fantastic route! whats with the ice axe though guys???

  • @peu423 I don't remeber having an ice axe and as far as I can see we didn't have them with us although there was snow on Helvellyn. I think you may be imagining them!??

  • Is that a grade 2 or 3? Looked a bit hairy in places :)

  • Grade 3. In fact grade 3S (for severe) in some guidebooks.

  • Thanks for posting. I'll be doing it next week then! Look forward. Looks dangerous.

  • Love the Lake District, not sure I will try whay you did though!

  • Gosh - you really climb without a rope? You make it look so easy.

  • its scrambling in theory you don;'t need a rope although at grade 2 and 3 you might need to use one for protection

  • you must have immense upper body strenght!
