I would never show this to a new patient though. Only after a few months of Invisalign treatment would anyone understand the video and laugh hard.

I was not told I would have sharp ceramic protrusions on my teeth (called "attachments") that are every bit as irritating as braces would have been. Plus, the estimate of "4-6 months" turned into 17 months...another fact I didn't learn until I was already cranked back in the chair.

I told my ortho that I did NOT want perfectly straight teeth...I'm nearly 60! I just wanted to correct a simple problem. Invisalign forces you to get perfectly straight teeth, designed by computer.

OMG. Our entire office thought it was quite hilarious. We had a meeting about case acceptance today on invisalign. People are usually so scared and timid about going to the dentist. so it def lightens the mood. We have over 20 employees...and we all saw the bright/humorous side of this video. It def wasn't done by Dr. Glassman in a professional serious sort of way...he was completely taking an entertaining route. It's a hit. no doubt. HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR PEOPLE!!! actually Debra graduated 87 from NYU where she won numerous awards. She's been a dental assistang and hygienist before that. So she is in dentistry for over 30 years and a dentist for 24. My wife and I have published many articles in peer review journals and text books. The video was aimed at having fun and using it at the Invisalign summit (which you have never attended). The advertising these two are doing is a great disservice to everyone. It makes all dentists look very bad and it seems like they significantly sacrifice function and longevity for rather fake looking aesthetics.
