  • We watched this like 5 times just because it was so hot outside. I can still hear the song somethines when I'm alone. *shudder*

  • I loved this ride, it was so hopeful, i wish they would bring it back.

  • @AgentExeider I guess you mean to Disneyland, as it still exists at Disneyworld

  • lol i live in cali and my boring history teacher was telling us about it. they dont have it were i live and im 12 that last time i went to florida was when i was 8 but i wanna go again just for this ride

  • IWe went on this thing last year. It's as good now as it has ever been. That voice is a blast from my past. I listened to that man when I was a kid. He's my hero.

  • omg me and my family got stuck on tis ride and my dad leaves to tell the peplo and they got mad at hem for leaveing :0

  • @jitterbeans As you know, this attraction has the audience move, while the stage stays put. years ago, when this attraction was at Disneyland, a worker got stuck between moving walls and was killed. I also witnessed someone leaving the show mid show, and the park workers spent 5 minutes reminding everyone not to leave while the show is in progress, ruining the soundtrack sync to the action. i re-road it again.

  • @magicalthemeparks Actually The worker who got crushed to death was on America Sings back on july 8, 1974. Carousel of Progress had already moved to WDW. the worker who got crused to death name was Deborah Stone and she was 18.

  • The song is memorable, but those robots scared the heck out of me when I was a kid.

  • what a bunch of ROBITS! but Disney makes it more interesting, seeing this at six flags, people won't like it! Take Amtrak!

  • @TheDylanJoyce Although it is true that people won't like seeing this at six flags, it would never fit in at six flags because it's a disney attraction and disney doesn't own six flags and six flags doesn't own disney either, so it is impossible to have the caorusel of progress be at six flags.

  • Cute dog!!

  • LOL. Go on this ride next time you go to MK. 8:45 When their celebrating 4th of July look at the little boy. His eye is cross eyed. XD Me and my dad always make fun of him XD

  • The "new" song is the original song that debuted with the attraction at the 1964 World's Fair. I do like Now is the Time better but more because it brings back memories from my childhood.

  • Carousel of progress :D Sigh. I love this show so so much. I get this kinda nostalgia, the huge amazing feeling you get in Tomorrowland. God, i love Tomorrowland. Its probably my favorite part of magic kingdom. It really makes you think about yesterday... and tomorrow, of course :P

  • I can't wait to see this in 4 days. I'm an Adventureland dawg. lol. But the Haunted Mansion remains my favorite.

  • ace:) x

  • Wow, they really ruined this when they changed it. Watch this, then watch the old version. This one doesn't have any of the heart and spirit of the old version.

And that SONG! What the hell is that crap? It sounds like a parody done by someone who hates this kind of thing. There's a reason Drawn Together did a parody of this using the old song, because it was JUST BETTER!

  • The old one was BORING and LAME and the old song was TERRIBLE!!!!! "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" is a MILLION times better than the old song!!!!

  • troll

  • this show was created by Walt himself. It's great - and also a great chance to have a nice-air conditioned-rest of a whole day in DisneyWorld. Esse brinquedo foi criado pelo próprio Walt Disney. É muito bom - e tb ótima chance de se descansar do passeio em pleno ar condicionado.

  • I LOVE the carousel of progress. Absolutely my favorite part of disney. Its a tradition now, EVERY time I come to disney it HAS to be the first thing I go to. I can not go anywhere until I go to the carousel of progress. After I see that, I really feel like I'm at disney and can go on with my day. Brings back such great childhood memories

  • my family and i love this

  • i live in florida and every year i come 2 diseny and every time i come i go on this ride it used 2 b my favorite ride....when i was to young and short 2 go on roller coasters...... when i found out those people were robots i cried for hours when they want to rip this ride down ill be the 1st to protest =P

  • yes it is a good ride big big beautiful tomorrow shining

  • i don't now about one of those but the disney land i go to has a whell of inovation

  • I just seen this the past summer and I loved it! This ride is one of the best reminders of how far life has come.

  • thanks for the vid

  • I thought you weren't allowed to use cameras on this lol

  • years ago, when i took this video, it was ok to use your camcorder.

  • i did it i dont care

  • what a great ride....... they were going to close it in 2002, 2005, and 2006 but everybody seemed to like it so much and bothered Disney so much they left it alone! LOL!Tammy

  • Rex Allen was the only Carousel of Progress.

  • they didn't space out the years enough. it went right from the 1900's to the 1920's to the 1940's then 100 years in the future or something, but other than that, i'd be devastated if they got rid of it.

  • thats my only complaint i guess that they had the 60s and thats it

  • I just got back from a holiday in florida, and i went on this ride! It stopped working halfway through so i had to watch one being repeated. I love the song though!

  • it's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day ! this song just makes me happy i dunno why :D

  • I love this ride! It has actually become one of my favorites in WDW. Before my trip about a month ago, I've never seen it; and I've been to WDW 5 times! Truely a classic staple for my future trips.

  • It was odd that they were moving the room instead of the scene. It was fun though!

  • Too bad Disney couldn't get a Buena Vista or Disneyland album in 1967 when the ride hit Disneyland in Orange County after earlier New York World's Fair debut of "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" with Jimmy Durante performing (her was still alive then and would do the narrator's voice in Rankin-Bass's 1969 "Frosty".) Durante would be fine singing that..Achchcha!

  • is this the first one or the second one?? cuz there was one that was like filmed in the early ninties ... it SUCKED -- this one is WAY better?? whose the dumbass that changed it -- if this is the original one

  • this is the current version. This current version replaced one whose theme song was now is the time. At least that is what I call it. The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow was the orginal theme song when built for the 63/64 NY Worlds Fair. The scenes are not the same as the worlds fair version.

  • THANK YOU!! haha i was getting confused out of my mind

  • Saw it originally at the NY World's Fair as the GE Carousel of Progress. Ran through the grounds with all of my buddies singing the theme and still know all the words. My brother gave me a dvd with the second video version and first audio version with Rex Allen.

  • that was a fun one!!

    im watching it again

    on my trip!

  • Very good , just like i remembered some 30 years ago ...great video shooting ....

  • Neat!
