  • :) so cool . great job guys ;D

  • AMAZING!!! BRAVO!!!!!

  • Fabulous! I'd say pretty dammed impressive!!

  • Wow you two are both amazing dancers (: yeah of course o'Donald & Kelly are amazing but they're both fully grown men with years of dance experience. I'm a ballet dancer not tap so I can't properly relate but this is an extreemly complexed peice of choreography and to even be able to do it at the level you did I think it pretty dam amazing (; well done your both amazing (: -3 xx

  • Fantastic on so many levels!! :)

  • That Was INCREDIBLE, I love singing in the rain "moses supposes" was always my favourite number, you two were phenominale i think Gene And Donald would be proud! Well Done!! xx

  • Goes to show just how AMAZING Donald and Gene were. Here's two young men, in great shape, with obviously many years of modern dance training...and they can barely hold a candle to the original. It just goes to show how difficult this routine really is.

  • you guys were so great, down to the details! others don't capture the mannerisms of the two gentlemen as well as you guys managed to do! best i've seen on youtube so far!

  • Nobody is ever going to be as good as Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor.

  • Pretty Good! :)

  • I saw the mistakes but otherwise you were good :) And remember to have fun with it. I had to laugh when I saw you guys go from smiling to serious face XD

  • I'm in love. Awesome guys, bring back the classics!

  • :D you are INCREDIBLE!! Teach me your ways, pease?!

  • Great work guys! Excellente

  • What are the steps to the turn that you guys do between 00:18 and 00:21?

  • @yosefgalindo It's just a "step, toe, hop, step, toe, hop, step"

  • @phantom0822 Thanks:)

  • @phantom0822 By any chance do you happen to have all the steps to the dance typed out so you can send them to me? thanks.

  • ahah there is not paragon you must lern all the life maybe!

  • Great job. I just have a question. Where did you get the files from? I need this and good morning. If you could send me them that would be great. Thanks and great job!

  • my friend and i are wanting to tap to this song as well, how long did it take yoo to break down the song?

    this is amazing btw!

  • Just an idea, you guys did a great job breaking it down the steps but it still looks a little stiff. You should maybe try speeding up the song, it would force you to be more athletic, free up your bodies and it feels awesome busting this out full speed. I'm sure you guys know that most of the arms for old school tap weren't choreographed but rather a response to staying balanced through a frenzy of footwork, what some work call "natural" movement. Just an idea but overall very well done.

  • LOVE that people are still dancing to this after all these years. Great work guys, you should be super mega chuffed with yourselves. Hope to see more of you.

  • This is seriously awesome.

You even have the mannerisms of Kelly and O'Connor, sort of. I've been a (amateur!) tap dancer for 8 years now, and am not even CLOSE to this :)

  • Very excellent!

  • Really great stuff! I have always wanted to recreate and learn the choreography from this number, and could never quite catch the steps from the movie. Brilliant, you! Thanks for making me smile. :) If you ever put out choreography notes from this, I would love to get my hands on those! Thanks for sharing your video.

  • Thank you so much! I was going to learn this from the movie but their feet were so unclear, now I can have a decent crack at it even though I'm not much good at tap :( you guys are amazing!

  • i love this! good job! :D

  • It is good to see present day artists showing forth the good talents that have come before. You two did a great job!

  • Spot on, seriously stunning. Does the step at :06 - :10 have a name?

  • you guys are great...better if you learned it with the musik at normal speed.Anyway its great to see there are still guys who idolise gene kelly and donald oconnor:P

  • BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

  • that was so good! i love this song & hav always wanted 2 dance 2 it- u hav given me hope that others apart from gene kelly & donald o'connor can do this amazingly!

  • Great work, I wish I could dance... :(

  • Wow this was absolutley brilliant!!

  • Bravo! Very nice.

  • Great job ha I would get tired after doing that , nice work.

  • Um. You are my heroes.

  • its pretty refreshing to see ppl who can tap like kelly and o'conner =) teach me your ways!!

  • woo! That was fantastic!

  • Wow! You guys are fantastic at this routine it's brilliant!! I'd love to have a tap dance with you guys although I'm sure you'd put me to shame probably!!! Great routine!!

  • You guys are AMAZING! how did you learn all those steps? i have been tap dancing myself for 10 years. if you learned them from another video, or a website, if its possible, can you please send me the link? thanks a lot! u guys are awesome!!!

  • @MrToby123480 The choreography was lifted from the DVD of the movie to the best of our ability. This was the first time I'd done it all in one shot after learning, hence the mistake. Thanks for the compliments.

  • @phantom0822 wow!!! thats soo cool! thanks anyway! and ur r so welcome. u deserve the compliments.

  • Pretty good with room for improvement

  • It's close but you guys you're not doing the same choreography as the movie. check out the Broadway version at the Gershwin Theatre. That choreography is accurate other than the leap up onto the chairs........

  • aw you guys are cuuuuuuute :)

  • you guys did so well! my friend victoria and i are doing this song together at our dance recital! we are using the music from the soundtrack so its a little faster than this version so we had to simplify some of the moves since we couldn't get all of the sounds in but i think we did pretty well since we are only 18 and haven't had as much training as gene kelly or donald o connor. anyway you two are very good tappers and looked like you had the confidence of gene and donald!! great job!!

  • you two are amazing!! :)

  • Geez made me sign up, just to say you guys are really good

  • Music is different key AND tempo.NOT taken from the soundtrack-it's a reproduction. If you've seen "SITR", even a dozen times, you'de spot it. Ive seen the movie probably a 1000 times TV /Theatre. Check the 2 guys who do the Broadway version on YOUTUBE. Perfection. I applaud the guys in this clip for attempting this extremely hard tap # but feminine flouncing arms, throwing back of the head like a Barbara Streisand/Cher impersonator in a drag show has GOT to go.

  • That's brilliant ! Moses supposes is my favorite ever, song and dance alike, and I am happy to see young people performing it !

  • Good tapping...but would be better if less effeminate and more masculine. It's a viril tap number and these two are good but too gay. Especially the one in black...too much girlie drag queen arm waving. The music is also not from the original...and it's played much slower.

  • @mmparker3 It is very easy to criticise everybody seems to be a judge these days. Try to accomplish this yourself and perhaps you will appreciate the skill, speed and also dedication. They have obviously practiced this hugely. You fail to acknowledge the skill factor. This was done in one take, not several like the film. Please let me know when you will be posting such a video as this and I will try not to be as critical as you have been.

  • @mmparker3 ye i agree with deanoager.

why not praise the 2 talented dancers.the music is exactly the same. and if you watch the original my bet is it is actually speeded up.if you mmparker have any talent then shame on you for slagging a fellow performer. pure jealousy.

if you cant do it anyway then how dare you even criticize double jealousy.

  • although it is of course nowhere near donald o'connor and gene kelly's performance, it is the best version I have seen besides theirs, so major props for trying to learn it.

  • This is really good. Allthought you are really great seeing you make a try at this makes one realise how great Donald O'Connor and Gene Kelly really was.

    But still great work!

  • this video has become my taste of good medicine. It makes me feel better!!!!!!!!!!

    superb effort. technically spot on.

  • that is awesome i love singin' in the rain and on the town

as for the guy in the black he is just brilliant as donald o'Connor

i to would love the mp3's if you could send them to me

    all the best

  • really well done!!! how did u guys get the music without the tapping in the background???

  • you know what..?? I was a bit critical of these two earlier.. but having seen SO MANY FAILED ATTEMPTS... I must say these guys are the next best thing to the real thing...

  • Me friend and i want to do this for our musical theatre showcase. is there anyway you can send me the steps? I cant find them anywhere?

  • AMAZING! great job guys!

  • this is great. I love that you made the sign of the cross before the stop time! :) You guys are amazing!

  • loved it :) nicely done boys

  • Wow! I'm doing this dance for Ballet Austin, original choreo with the chairs too.. You guys look great, the lines and everything. Even your styles look like Donald and Gene! Very nice! Its nice to see fellow tappers not only hoofing, but performing and dancing!

  • Yes! O'Connor was a very stylish dancer, and he's all but forgotten now except for the diehard fans.

  • as a fellow tap dancer

my dream was always to dance to moses supposes

you guys are soo amazing. major props.

  • LOVE IT! :)

  • OMG!!! u learnt the choreography!!! amazing did u do it yourself?? im so jealous always wanted to do it myself i can sort of do the beginning bit after the maxifords but its just way too fast lol. WELL DONE GUYS!!

  • This made me giggle because it was right on the money the way you guys did it. I enjoyed it alot, you both were great.

  • I am a long-time fan of classic tap dancing, and this is just terrific. Great job. Sharp and clean. A real pleasure to watch.

  • this is heaps good! :D haw man (Y) really well done. its good to see this type of authentic musical theatre still alive and thriving. ive wanted to perform moses supposes, singin' in the rain and good morning at my concert but i have only been able to find pathetic little backing tracks, unlike this one. Is it maybe possible, if you have those three songs to email them? It would be really really appreciated :D. once again, awesome job (Y)

  • Thanks for the compliments. If you give me your email address, I can email the files to you.

  • @phantom0822 hello again not sure if you got last email i am so amazed by that performance.

  • @phantom0822 hey do you still have this music track?! i'm trying to learn this for a local talent show next year and I can't find the track either...also is this music slowed down a bit?

  • this is awesome!! singin' in the rain was probably my favorite musical!!!

i had always loved Don O'Connor, so i'm sorta drawn more to the black-shirt guy lol

At some parts however, the grey shirt dude seemed a little stronger, but the black shirt dude seemed to have more personality during the dance.

that's ofcourse just my humble and unprofessional opinion. :P

you were both AMAZING tho, and i almost envy you! :D

  • i agree :)

  • very nice!!

  • Great job guys! :)

  • this is great

    i have one question

where did u get the karaoke track because i wanna do this with a friend for a benefit concert??

  • Thanks for the compliment. We were both cast in a production that used an orchestra cd instead of a live orchestra. That's where all the tracks came from.

  • oh thats sick

is there any way of me getting my hands on it?

  • I'd be happy to email the mp3 file to you, if that'd work.

  • best reproduction I've seen - nice job, well done

  • this got me just as giddy and excited as watching the real thing!

  • Great job guys!! Loved watching it.

  • And phantom 0822 is a douch!!! lol

  • They were both in WSS.

  • I saw that guy on the left in WSS! YOU ROCK MAN!!!!

  • Really good job, guys! Where did you get the music without singing and tap sounds?

  • That was rather amazingly impressive to say the least. You guys were spot on. Really cool.

  • the man on the righ tis fab, i hope to be as good as that soemday (if posible XD)

  • The guy on the left is REALLY GOOD! keep it up, man. and do strength exercising.

  • What happened is I shouted "fuck" then he said "keep going". It was kinda ridiculous!

  • this was really good what happened when the guy on the right messed up

  • This is my favourite part of Singin' in the Rain....and you boys nailed it!!!!

I love it!!!! You did an incredible job.

Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor were geniuses!!

  • Excellent...just...excellent!

  • Haha

copied right from the movie ay guys, did a good jobs.

    Mike
