@Sasilmin You did. 30% of US citizens are cocaine addicts? I'm not American but that's clearly bollocks. Russia? Yes, they have major social problems, but their government is certainly a whole lot more open than that of the "D"PRK. As for your country being weird, it is. So is mine. Most countries are in some way. Get over it.
It's interesting that I stumbled on this since I just watched a really informative documentary about the life in North Korea. From what I gathered from it, they put up these huge shows just for a few tourists who are "lucky" enough to get into the country... It's all a big show put up to hide what is actually going on there. =/
The documentary is called "The Vice Guide to North Korea."
@OwlAlwaysLoveYu The Mass Games are actually televised worldwide. But you are right, I watched the documentary "State of Mind," and clearly they were playing a part for the cameras constantly praising "the general." It was scary.
The whole show was just amazing. It showed unity of the people. I really hope n korean governmenr dont get corrupted but continue to work for achieving the worlds first socialist nation which is successful.
@Sasilmin If being on of the world's largest recipient of food aid and being unable to feed the populace while replying on your neighbor to keep you from collapsing is a mark of success I would be very interested to know what is considered failure.
@Rjayboxing u must know that north korea( DPRK) was one of the most outstanding countries back into 1980s before the collapse of soviet union and the socialist economy...
@Rjayboxing The truth is, the west imposed economic sanction and trade embargo disabling DPRK's economy. And with the aid given by West and its allies making them good Samaritans in the eyes of the world but truth is it is just a propaganda to show that socialism doesn't work.
@dustziggy actually i lived in north korea for 5 years. I am jainichi. i am korean but i was born in japan. i lived in japan until i was 16. i went to north korea and studied there. i came back to japan after i graduated the school there. and i am currently studying in japanese university. i know more about my country than you.

Three questions:
1) Is the board in the back really made of 30,000 children holding up wooden signs?
2) How many people are in the whole performance?!?!? There's so many!!!!
3) Why is it called "Mass"? Is this like, daily for them?
