I think what this means really is Peter is going to be the one to stop the machine, and he wont die doing it ether, his purpose is to save everyone not to be used to destroy, thats what he and Walter are talking about when Walter says but you could die, Peter wants to get in the machine to stop it, but they wont kill him, or ether Olivia's, or Walter, it may be Nina, because I saw Blair in a preview of another new show on TNT, maybe she's leaving Fringe!
