KPIX is still a longtime CBS affiliate, but there is one difference.
Channel 5 is owned by the network itself, and it has been since CBS bought KPIX and other Group W stations in 1995.

And still at KMBC to this day. He did go to KPIX & KGO before coming back to KMBC in 1983.
