@RosieKR It's not a FPS and it wouldn't be the first there was Fire Warrior on PS2 but from what I heard it was crap. U had to play as a Tau. But Space Marine looks set to be much better it's a 3rd Person, Action RPG and u don't play as the weakest 40k race. :)

Don't get me wrong... I'm obsessed with warhammer... I'm preordering this as soon as it's up... but why is everything about 'custimization' lately with videogames? Sure... I love customizing crap in games... but sometimes it seems like they focus on customizing when they should focus purely on the gameplay. I don't want to play a game where the extent of customization is even more impressive than the actual gameplay of whatever you're customizing

Orks

I've seen them in several videos, they're even piloting the Valkyries, which will provide some interesting combat. :) Check out the Bell of Lost Souls channel. They got three videos with scenes from the game and an interview+tour through the studio.

It'd be nice if it weren't all Space Marines that the games focussed on. An Inquisitor RPG or the like would be a nice change -no one expects the Imperial Inquisition^^. Not to say I wont become this game's lapdog by the first week, though it looks like it could do with a bit of works on the graphics as to me it just looks like a slightly improved version of those from Dawn of War-rather than giving off that dark, gothic look that's put across in all the fluff. It lacks the charm, but whatever.

Hmmm. He hinted at there being other races besides Space Marines and Orks but... I hope for the love of the God Emperor that they aren't going to 'surprise you with Chaos and Eldar'. I was disappointed when DOW2 came out that the starting races were the same, besides Chaos which came out in the first expansion. Why can't they start with IG, Tau, Necrons and Tyranid? Why is it always Space Marines and Orks? They're classics, sure, but we're sort of being overfed here, aren't we?

@Boss0nomaka there will be stuff that equals you in the game obviously otherwise it'd get boring. looking at orks expect killakans really big orks (they get bigger the more they fight and they love to fight) and then theres the other races that might end up in the game. tyranid and chaos are the most probable. tyranid look like the 'alien' but come in loads of different shapes and sizes and they are all pure killing machines. Chaos are traitor marines with the occasional demon and cultist suport

@TheSAMmissile no, from the sounds of it, this is simply a purging of a ork infested forge world, not the famed battle for the ultramarines home world. for the multiplayer aspect i hope theres a army painter or chapter selection because i do not want to play as ultramarines the entire time. also chaos would make it on the wish list.
