Great question. We can't answer it without doing a full exam on both of them. It's likely they are evil and stupid, this solves the problem of answering the question, but it oversimplifies it as well. If they are crazy, it gives them a court defense too, sadly. It's not to say a judge would rule in their favor, but it yields a defense if they are clinically insane. coulter is despicable in so many ways, and appears nuts. Great comment, food for thought!

In cheney's case, we say he's not so bright, he's really a follower too, but a leader when someone's as stupid as bush w. cheney took 5 deferments from Vietnam to work as a gopher for an oil man who was close with the bush family.
