  • Whew, I hate punk. That was god awful.

  • Damn i feel bad for them. Warped tour sucks. Huge ignorant crowd, no one knows the words to a classic song. Why are you even there

  • I was the only one who cringed listening to this, or you guys too?

  • @NuryDoe Then you don't like punk music at all or know what it is. Pick a different genre. Don't Turn Away is the most solid album i've ever heard

  • @stoiccadaver cringed in the good way...like "what a badass music"

  • It's sad how quiet the crowd was when he had them sing some of the lyrics.... everyone should know about Face to Face!

  • VEVO DOESN'T OWN PUNK ROCK - ONE THING THEY WILL NEVER OWN!

  • the kids that liked punk rock now like Dubstep the rest of us are still punks alwayz and forever =)

  • It's so funny to see people post about "real punk rock". If that thought even crosses your mind...you ain't a punk, you are an idiot.

    Face to Face rules.

  • @stonebogart I disagree. For instance, I consider bands like crass, reagan youth, and rudimentary peni "real punk rock." On the other hand. bands like the sex pistols, ones that rely on image instead of substance to sell records, are fucking fake pieces of shit.

  • @dk352 Judging art is what 'it' was supposed to be against. Don't get me wrong, Reagan Youth is one of my favorite bands but why do they deserve more punk rock cred than Face to Face? I make my living off of music and I usually find the people concerned with credibility issues aren't very talented and/or wise. A lot of people thought the Descendents weren't punk enough, but compared to what? Is Crass as 'punk rock' as Waylon Jennings or Willie Nelson? I don't think so.

  • @stonebogart I definitely agree with you. If you read my previous comment, you will see that I did not slag Face to Face. In fact, I really like them. I just believe that I have the right to distinguish a passionate, authentic band with integrity, from a band that simply manipulates audiences with their image for cash, without being called an "idiot."

  • @dk352 By the way....you don't think Crass and Reagan Youth relied on image as well? If they showed up in golf shirts you wouldn't consider them punk probably. It all a business and the fact that their ripple got to you meant the machine was working and sold it's product to you. They gladly cashed their checks and paid their bills and bought their toys with your money. The duplicity never bothered them but they rely on the purists to alienate the 'not punk enoughs' to give them more credibility.

  • @stonebogart I agree that Crass and Reagan Youth maintained images, but their music and message were obviously always the first priority. In fact, Reagan Youth went as far as wearing tie die and dressing like hippies without regard to how it may affect their audience. Both bands never profited significantly from their art and wallowed in poverty during their hey-day, also. Your cynicism regarding the authenticity of these two bands in general disturbs me. I've never given them a dime either.

  • @dk352 I don't begrudge either band anything. I said I love Reagan Youth. The fact that you proudly have given them no money might be a symptom of why the 'wallowed in poverty'. I am disturbed by how you seem to be proud you did't support them with your dimes. I bought records from both of them...because I am a fan. Were you disturbed when Reagan Youth allowed Degenerated to be used in the film "Airheads" for money? Was it a sellout?

  • @stonebogart If you were familiar with how that song was selected, you would know that Paul Cripple had very little choice as it whether or not they were going to use that song. For some reason you think I'm some overly judgmental, punker than thou person, but I am not. As much as I don't like to categorize music, there are passionate, "real" punk bands, as well as fake bullshit. I've reinforced this point many times, yet you continue to evade it and insist that I'm slagging on face to face.

  • @dk352 Do you think Face to Face is selling an image? How is their music or lyrics not a priority? I love that Reagan Youth wore tie dye but that's more work and thought than Face to Face [or Hootie and the Blowfish for that matter] put into their image. You are stepping on your own cause with your point. We probably won't agree on this whole punk rock thing. I like it because it can't [and shouldn't] be defined. When I see punk rock fashion at Target I realize punk as we knew it is dead.

  • @stonebogart Your argument keeps referring to Face to Face, but if you look at my comments, I NEVER said anything negative about them. I merely suggested that I should have the right to distinguish between a good punk rock band and a SHITTY FUCKING POSER BOY BAND LIKE THE SEX PISTOLS.

  • @dk352 The Pistols kept a window open that made punk rock accessible to people not living in London and NYC in the late 70's and early 80's. To disregard their impact on the scene as a positive one is not right. They morphed and mocked a scene they helped to create. 'The Great Rock & Roll Swindle' was a great contribution to punk rock. You, of course, have the right to disregard The Sex Pistols but I don't see how they fit the bill as 'posers' or a 'boy band' but you can think anything you want.

  • @stonebogart Initially, the sex pistols and the clash were a great addition to the punk movement. However once they moved to America and started taking part in designer drug buffets in their limos, they lost touch. Many others recognized the hypocritical actions of these bands. Also, depending on who you believe, Mclaren created them just as a contemporary boy band is. Johnny Rotten is a sell-out and full of shit. Check out his country butter commericals.

  • @stonebogart and frankly, we only needed the Ramones.

  • @dk352 I guess we are stuck with disagreement. To me punk should be doing what you want without regard for what society thinks [but don't be hurting anyone]. Making butter commercials to me is funny and doesn't ruins your cred. He wants to work people up, you have played into his hands. He doesn't care what you think and just keeps going. To me...that's punk.

  • @dk352 Johnny Rotten, for the record, didn't do drugs but the Ramones did. The Ramones appeared in movies and often capitalized on their art financially. Which was good because when Joey got cancer he had health insurance which he paid for with his earnings. Good music is good music and scenes bother me.

  • @dk352 My guess is that you are in your late teens or early 20's. Mark my words, your opinions on this and many things will change over time. You are fighting for the sake of fighting and my guess is that you weren't even alive when this all went down. I was there and fight it as you may...that does matter. I played CBGB's and met and played with people you are talking about and that does matter. I am not saying I'm right and you are wrong I'm saying my perspective is different.

  • Can't wait for their new tour wich stops in my town in May, and they are with Strungout! Have not seen Face to Face here in atleast 10 yrs.

  • 2003 was pretty much the last good Warped Tour.

  • all of the real punk rock is on the east side now with all of the crack rock steady bands

  • This is great shit! He sings this song really fast compared to some of the other Face To Face songs.

The Warped Tour compilation cds use to be great, but now they suck, their is too many of those auto- tune using emo bands on them.

  • is that SF?

  • punk will always be punk !!!! unless you start calling SHIT like simple plan , fallout boy or good charlotte or any of these new shitty emo bands that have come around in the last few years punk then its just a shit mix of gay assed pop prancing around dressed like punk trying to fit in where they dont belong or are not wanted brainwashing todays youth into buying bad music.

  • @joeshuge all that shit is not punk, they just need to go away i am totally with you bro

  • Warped tour sucked ass this year but it was worth it to see these guys back on stage....and with freaking Chad back!!!

  • FUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKKK YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! been going to their shows since 97. Love them. But i wont be going to warped tour, nope. emo tards.

  • that was way before the lady gaga crap we get now..

  • WOW this was back when the Warped Tour was good.

  • riiiigght. everything about punk rock used to be good. the music's no good anymore, the shows are no good anymore. but five years from now, the music and shows from 2009 will be "great", and everyone will be talking about how the new music sucks. five years ago, blink 182 and new found glory were getting more radio play than against me! and gaslight anthem - there's nothing wrong with punk right now.

punk music's great right now. always has been, always will be.

  • 5 years from now the music and the shows from 2009 will still suck ass!!

  • the old guard never loves the new kid......face to face are awesome but i remember when they were called "new punk" or "skater punk".....along with lagwagon and strung out...

  • i remember that too

  • i love blink 182 and new found glory and stuff like that but i also like the older stuff like this and h2o and descendants. but the crap now is, like, all time low and fall out boy and panic at the disco... all 3 are horrible bands.

  • @Kaizen1286 No not all the new punk bands suck, Pour Habit rips, but out of the last 10 years please name more than 3 bands of this caliber in 5 sec. (and you tight pants tight t shirt kids get realyou are not nor never will be punk, skater punk, ect. you myfriends are just gay scene kids

  • @joslone I know what you mean! Its like they only book emo acts! However they still get some sick bands so don't get too down on it

  • I got Don't Turn Away at a thrift store in Pennsylvania for $3!!! And it's amazing!!!

  • I cant wait either! :D

Face ti Face are my faviorite band too :)!!

  • You're a moron. Do some research, dumbass. They aren't the 80s gay band. The singer is in his mid 30s, the drummer in his late 20s and the bassist in his early 30s.

  • is this the '80s band that played 10,9,8...?

  • No, it's not the gay 80s band, or the crap-ass rap group called face 2 face. They are a punk band from Victorville California.

  • I love face to face, by far my faviorite band of all time, hands down

  • Awesome!!!
