  • flying is always faster

  • @AWARDMENOW lol yah and i could drive to NY from LA BUT I AINT THATS WHAT PLANES ARE FOR!!

  • @wizzair1313 me too :) I got ma license!!

  • The only instance where you can say "I went from Los Angeles to Santa Ana, and the ocean scenery was amazing"

  • @AWARDMENOW +traffic=about 2 hours!

  • I've flown on several of these palnes, but can someone answer the following questions for me? What's the take off speed (I presuming 120mph) and how many gallons of jet fuel does it carry (I assume 2,000 gallons) - Thanks! btw - nice video and sound.

  • @landman1973 The TO and Landing speeds are calculated for each operation based on A/C weight and conditions. Max fuel load is 874 gallons. The EMB 120 is pretty easy on gas, I've seen burns of just under 1000 lbs./hr at FL270. Only had full tanks once in 5400 hours of flying the E-120. The A/C has a max. legal weight, you can carry it in pax/cargo or fuel. Generally you plan trip fuel + reserves+some feel good fuel and the rest is pax &bags. If that takes everything, you win.

  • @AWARDMENOW I was wondering why they would have LAX-SNA flights but then I realized well maybe its a random excuse for us aviation enthusiasts to get on a plane :)

  • Saab 340 are better in my opinion (I also like the EMB-120)

  • probably my fav turboprop... The Convair CV580 comes in at a close second

  • nice video...

  • thx

  • Great! The EMB-120 is such a nice little plane. :)

  • Welcome to Los Angeles. Our freeways are like parking lots. Better to fly i think?

  • I Would love to get most of my 30 EQS from flying this quickie route. Nice short Mileage Run. Joe G

  • ..albeit extremely expensive methinks.

  • Believe it or not, I did several Mileage Runs (LAX-MRY) for as little as $35 each way...and I did reach Premier earlier this Summer as a result. Always search around for the low price and snap on it. JG

  • cool video. Being a pilot is like the best job ever.

  • Nice video dude

  • It appears to be 25R, with the newly reconstructed 25L in the foreground right after liftoff.

  • they charge too much for these flights.

its almost the same price to go fro lax to ord and lax to santa anna.

    weird

  • Mikey your lucky you get to fly in Embraer 120s. All i have in Philly are Dash 8s. But there good too.

  • aircraft enthusiast telling me to drive? lol i would fly to the mailbox to get the mail if i could.

  • Great Video! Those EMB-120's can fly through anything.

  • your right.. i looked closely on the original video and it is nippon cargo 747

  • Cool vid.

I could be wrong, but isn't that the Airbus A380 from 1:10-1:16 on the ground?

  • the a380 took off from its first visit to lax about 30 minutes before this video was taken so no.

  • I can't say for sure, but my guess is either a 747-400 or an A340

  • fog coming up

  • Im guessing there was a lot of tirbulance during that take-off!

  • actually the turbulence was not as bad as i figured it would have been. not like my other videos on the horizon flight

  • Amazingly quiet for one of the loudest jets out there...very impressive

  • awesome sound!!!
